Fascinated by the mystical since a young child David found a connection between the various types of magical illusions employed by magicians and deeper spiritual truth. He has authored two books related to his passion for magic and the Catholic Faith; a children's book "Bigger and Better" and "Magi Theology" for which the Nihil Obstat and Imprematur were given by the Knoxville Diocese Bishop's office. In 2010, David discovered Mystic, Luisa Piccarreta and the “Book of Heaven” after a friend suggested some similarities with his own mystical theology.
David has formed “Your Faith Anew!” prayer and study group in 2017 with the goal of helping Catholics fall in love with their Faith. David firmly believes, “The Catholic Faith prepares us to receive the Gift of Living in the Divine Will and the gift enables us to practice our Faith in a Divine manner most pleasing to God.”

Luisa writes,
This morning, beloved Jesus did not make Himself seen in the usual way, all affability and sweetness - but severe. I felt my mind in a sea of confusion, and my soul so afflicted and annihilated, especially because of the chastisements I saw in these past days. In seeing Him with that appearance I did not dare to tell Him anything; we looked at each other, but in silence. Oh God, what pain! Then, in one instant, I also saw the confessor, and Jesus, sending forth a ray of intellectual light, spoke these words: “Charity. Charity is nothing but an outpouring of the Divine Being, and this outpouring I have diffused over the whole Creation, in such a way that all Creation speaks of the love I have for man, and all Creation teaches him how He must love Me - from the largest being to the most tiny little flower in the field.
“See”, it says to man, “with my sweet fragrance and by always facing the sky, I try to send an homage to my Creator. You too, let all your actions be fragrant, holy, pure; do not offend my Creator with the bad odor of your actions. O please, o man”, the little flower repeats to us, “don’t be so senseless as to keep your eyes fixed on the earth; but rather, raise them up to Heaven. See, up there is your destiny, your fatherland – up there is my Creator and yours who awaits you.” The water that flows continuously before our eyes also says to us: “See, I have come out of darkness, and I must flow and run so much until I go and bury myself in the place from which I came. You too, O man, run - but run into the bosom of God, from which you came. O please! I beg you, do not run along the wrong paths, the paths which lead to the precipice; otherwise - woe to you!” Even the wildest animals repeat to us: “See, O man, how wild you must be for all that is not God. See, when we see that someone is approaching us, with our roars we strike so much fear that no one dares to come close to us any more, to disturb our solitude. You too, when the stench of earthly things - that is, your violent passions – are about to make you muddy and fall into the abyss of sins, with the roars of your prayers and by withdrawing from the occasions in which you find yourself, you will be safe from any danger.” And so with all the other beings – it would take too long to tell them all. With one voice they resound among themselves, and repeat to us: “See, O man, our Creator made us for love of you, and we are all at your service. And you, don’t be so ungrateful – love, we beg you; love, we repeat to you; love our Creator.” After this, my lovable Jesus told me: “This is all I want: love God and your neighbor for love of Me. See how much I have loved man – and he is so ungrateful. How could you not want me to chastise them?” At that very moment, I seemed to see a terrible hail, and an earthquake which is to cause considerable damage, to the point of destroying plants and men. Then, with all the bitterness of my soul, I said to Him: “My always lovable Jesus, why so indignant? If man is ungrateful, it is not so much because of malice, but because of weakness. Oh, if they knew You a little bit - oh, how humble and palpitating they would be! Therefore, placate Yourself. I commend to you at least Corato and those who belong to me.” As I was saying this, it seemed to me that something was to happen also in Corato, but it would be nothing compared to what would happen in other towns.

SPEAKER_01Welcome. This is David Russell and your faith anew daily reflections guiding you to live in the divine will. Today's reflection is from the Book of Heaven by the servant of God Louisa Picaretta, march thirteenth, eighteen ninety nine, volume two. Let us begin in the will and name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Heavenly Father, you who have filled all creation with signs of your love, open our minds and hearts to recognize your voice speaking through the works of your hands. May we learn again the simple command of your Son, to love you above all things and to love our neighbor for love of you. Let every action of our day rise to you like a fragrant offering of charity. Through Christ our Lord, amen. Saint Paul writes in letter to the Romans chapter one verse twenty. Ever since the creation of the world, his invisible attributes of eternal power and divinity have been able to be understood and perceived in what he has made. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches in paragraph three hundred forty one The beauty of the universe. The order and harmony of the created world results from the diversity of beings and from the relationships which exists among them. Man discovers them progressively as the laws of nature. They call forth the admiration of scholars. The beauty of creation reflects the infinite beauty of the Creator and ought to inspire the respect and submission of man's intellect and will. In seeing him with that appearance, I did not dare to tell him anything. We looked at each other, but in silence. Oh God, what pain. Then in one instant I also saw the confessor, and Jesus, sending forth a ray of intellectual light, spoke these words Charity. Charity is nothing but an outpouring of the divine being, and this outpouring I have diffused over the whole creation in such a way that all creation speaks of the love I have for man, and all creation teaches him how he must love me, from the largest being to the most tiny little flower in the field. See, it says to man, with my sweet fragrance and by always facing the sky, I try to send an homage to my creator. You too. Let all your actions be fragrant, holy, and pure. Do not offend my creator with the bad odor of your actions. Oh please, O man. The little flower repeats to us Don't be so senseless as to keep your eyes fixed on the earth, but rather raise them up to heaven. See, up there is your destiny, your fatherland. Up there is my creator and yours who awaits you. The water that flows continuously before our eyes also says to us See, I have come out of darkness, and I must flow and run so much until I go and bury myself in the place from which I came. You too, O man, run, but run into the bosom of God from which you came. O please, I beg you, do not run along the wrong paths, the paths which lead to the precipice. Otherwise, woe to you. Even the wildest animals repeat to us See, O man, how wild you must be for all that is not God? See when we see that someone is approaching us with our roars, we strike so much fear that no one dares to come close to us anymore to disturb our solitude. You too, when the stench of earthly things, that is, your violent passions, are about to make you muddy and fall into the abyss of sins, with the roars of your prayers, and by withdrawing from the occasions in which you find yourself, you will be safe from any danger. And so with all other beings, it would take too long to tell them all. With one voice they resound among themselves and repeat to us See, O man, our Creator made us for love of you, and we are all at your service. And you don't be so ungrateful. Love we beg you love we repeat to you love our Creator. After this, my lovable Jesus told me this is all I want. Love God and your neighbor for love of me. See how much I have loved man, and he is so ungrateful. How could you not want me to chastise them? At that very moment I seem to see a terrible hail, and an earthquake which is to cause considerable damage, to the point of destroying plants and men. Then, with all the bitterness of my soul I said to him, My always lovable Jesus, why so indignant? If man is ungrateful, it is not so much because of malice, but because of weakness. Oh if they knew you a little bit, oh how humble and palpitating they would be. Therefore, placate yourself. I commend to you at least Corrado and those who belong to me. As I was saying this, it seemed to me that something was to happen also in Corrado, but it would be nothing compared to what would happen in other towns. In this passage Jesus reveals something profound about charity. Love is not merely a command given to humanity, it is the very outpouring of the divine being himself. Creation becomes the language through which God continuously speaks his love to the world. Every element of the created order reflects this truth. The flower lifts its fragrance toward heaven as if offering homage to its creator. The flowing water reminds us that our life comes from God and must return to him. Even the wild animals, through their instinct to guard themselves, teach the soul to defend itself from the dangers of sin. Jesus is revealing to Louisa that creation itself is a living catechism. The universe continually proclaims the same message Love the Creator who made you. When the human soul forgets this purpose, disorder enters the world. Ingratitude toward God leads not only to spiritual darkness, but also to the suffering that comes when humanity turns away from the order established by the Creator. Yet, within this passage we also see Louisa's role as an intercessor. Seeing the severity of Jesus and the chastisements that threaten the world, she pleads for mercy. She reminds the Lord that human weakness often lies behind human ingratitude. Her prayer becomes an act of love not only for God, but also for humanity. For those seeking to live in the divine will, this reading invites us to rediscover the world with new eyes. Creation is not merely the background of our lives. It is a constant invitation to love. Every moment, every creature, every breath calls us to return love to the God who poured himself out for us. Let us pray. Lord Jesus, you have filled the universe with signs of your love. Teach my soul to recognize your voice in every part of creation. When I see the beauty of the earth, remind me of your goodness. When I experience the trials of life, remind me that all things are calling me back to you. May my thoughts, my words, and my actions rise toward heaven like the fragrance of the flower you described. Let my life become an offering of charity, loving you above all things and loving my neighbor for love of you. Jesus, pour your divine love into my heart so that my will may move within your will, and every act of my day may echo your eternal charity. Amen. Thank you for joining your faith anew today. May the beauty of creation remind us that everything around us is calling us back to God, inviting us to live lives of gratitude, charity, and trust in His divine will. Until tomorrow, stay in His will, and your faith will be made anew.
