Luisa writes,

This morning, my beloved Jesus continued to make Himself seen from within my heart, and in seeing Him a little bit more cheered, I plucked up courage, and I began to pray that He would not send so many chastisements. And Jesus told me: “What moves you, O my daughter, to pray Me not to chastise creatures?” Immediately I answered: ‘Because they are your images, and if creatures should suffer, You Yourself would suffer.’ And Jesus, heaving a sigh, told me: “Charity is so dear to me, that you cannot comprehend it. Charity is simple, just 106 like my Being which, though immense, is yet most simple; so much so that there is no place which It does not penetrate. So Charity is; being simple, it diffuses everywhere; it has regard for no one – whether a friend or an enemy, whether a citizen or a stranger, it loves all.”

Welcome. This is David Russell and Your Faith Anew. Daily Reflections guiding you to live in the divine will. Today's reflection is from the Book of Heaven by the servant of God Louisa Picaretta, march eighteenth, eighteen ninety nine, volume two. Let us begin in the will and name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Heavenly Father, in the simplicity of your divine being, you have poured out charity that reaches all souls without distinction. Grant us the grace to live in that same charity, pure, universal, and selfless, so that we may reflect your love in every thought, word, and action. May our hearts be transformed to love as you love. Amen. Saint John the Apostle writes in the first letter of John, chapter four, verses seven and eight. Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God, and he who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches in paragraph eighteen twenty-two. Charity is the theological virtue by which we love God above all things for his own sake, and our neighbor as ourselves for the love of God. Louisa writes This morning my beloved Jesus continued to make himself seen from within my heart, and in seeing him a little bit more cheered, I plucked up courage, and I began to pray that he would not send so many chastisements. And Jesus told me, What moves you, O my daughter, to pray me not to chastise creatures? Immediately I answered, Because they are your images, and if creatures should suffer, you yourself would suffer. And Jesus, heaving a sigh, told me, Charity is so dear to me that you cannot comprehend it. Charity is simple, just like my being which, though immense, is yet most simple. So much so that there is no place where it does not penetrate. So charity is. Being simple, it diffuses everywhere. It has regard for no one, whether a friend or an enemy, whether a citizen or a stranger, it loves all. Charity. As Jesus reveals to Louisa, is not complicated. It's simple. And yet in that simplicity lies its divine power. It flows from the very nature of God Himself, who is infinitely immense, yet perfectly simple. This means that true charity is not selective, not calculated, and not reserved only for those who are easy to love. In the divine will, charity becomes universal. It reaches everyone, friend and enemy alike, without distinction. This is the kind of love that does not depend on how others treat us, but on our union with God's own love. When we live in the divine will, our acts are no longer limited by human preference or emotion. They become acts of divine charity extending everywhere. Louisa's response to Jesus shows this beautiful. She pleads for others because she recognizes that their suffering touches the heart of God. This is the beginning of living in the divine will. To see others not merely as individuals, but as reflections of God Himself. When we allow this charity to take root in us, we begin to love with a simplicity that is free from judgment and fear. It becomes a steady, constant presence, like God's own love, reaching into every corner of our lives and beyond. Let us pray. O divine love, so simple and yet so boundless, draw my heart into your own. Remove from me every obstacle to true charity, every judgment, every preference, every hesitation to love. Teach me to love as you love, without distinction, without condition, without limit. May my soul become a vessel of your charity, diffusing your love everywhere, touching every soul I encounter. Jesus, living in the divine will, let my acts be united with yours, so that your charity may flow through me to all. Let me see every person as your image, and love them with your own heart. Mary, Mother of Divine Love, guide me in this path of simple, universal charity. Amen. Thank you for joining your faith anew today. May you walk in the simplicity of divine charity, allowing God's love to flow through you to every soul you meet. Until tomorrow, stay in his will, and your faith will be made anew.
