Luisa writes,

This morning, as Jesus made Himself seen, I was afraid it might not be truly Jesus, but the devil that wanted to deceive me. After I made the usual protests, Jesus told me: “Daughter, do not fear for I am not the devil. Besides, he if he speaks about virtue, it is a colored virtue, not true virtue, nor does he have the virtue of infusing it in the soul, but only of speaking about it. And if sometimes he shows he wants to make the soul practice a little bit of good, she is not persevering, and in the very act in which the soul does that little bit of good, she is listless and agitated. I alone have the power to infuse Myself in her heart, to make her practice virtues, and suffer with courage, tranquility and perseverance. And then, when has the devil ever gone in search for virtues? His hunting is for vices. Therefore, do not fear, and be tranquil.”

Welcome. This is David Russell in Your Faith A New. Daily Reflections Guiding You to Live in the Divine Will. Today's reflection is from the Book of Heaven by the servant of God Louisa Picaretta, March nineteenth, eighteen ninety nine, volume two. Let us begin in the will and name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Lord Jesus, true source of every virtue, grant us the grace to recognize your voice and to trust in your presence. Infuse within our hearts the strength to persevere in goodness, to suffer with peace, and to remain tranquil in your will. Protect us from deception, and anchor us in the truth of your love. Amen. Saint Paul writes in the letter to the Galatians chapter five, verses twenty two, twenty-three. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches in paragraph eighteen twelve The human virtues are rooted in the theological virtues, which adapt man's faculties for participation in the divine nature. For the theological virtues relate directly to God. They dispose Christians to live in a relationship with the Holy Trinity. They have the one and triune God for their origin, motive, and object. Louisa writes This morning, as Jesus made himself seen, I was afraid it might not be truly Jesus, but the devil that wanted to deceive me. After I made the usual protests, Jesus told me, Daughter, do not fear, for I am not the devil. Besides he, if he speaks about virtue, it is a colored virtue, not true virtue, nor does he have the virtue of infusing it in the soul, but only of speaking about it. And if sometimes he shows he wants to make the soul practice a little bit of good, she is not persevering. And in the very act in which the soul does that little bit of good, she is listless and agitated. I alone have the power to infuse myself in her heart, to make her practice virtues, and suffer with courage, tranquility, and perseverance. And then, when has the devil ever gone in search for virtues? His hunting is for vices. Therefore, do not fear and be tranquil. In this passage, Jesus offers a profound reassurance to the soul. True virtue comes from God alone. It is not merely spoken about or imitated externally, it is infused, lived, and sustained by divine grace. The enemy may imitate the appearance of good, but he cannot produce perseverance, peace, or interior transformation. When virtue is from God, it carries distinct marks, tranquility, courage, and constancy. The soul does not become agitated or discouraged in the act of doing good, but rather finds a deep, sustaining peace even in suffering. This is because God Himself is acting within the soul. Living in the divine will means allowing Jesus to be the source of every virtue within us. It's not about striving alone, but about surrendering, letting him infuse patience in our trials, love in our relationships, and perseverance in our daily duties. Today, we are invited to trust more deeply in his actions within us. When doubts arise, when fears of deception or unworthiness come, we can rest in his words. Do not fear. I alone have the power to infuse myself in her heart.

Let us pray.

Lord Jesus, divine master and source of all holiness, I place my heart before you. Infuse within me your virtues, your patience, your peace, your courage, and your love. Remove from me all that is false, all that is superficial, all that seeks only appearances. Grant that my actions may be rooted in you, sustained by you, and completed in you. In moments of doubt, remind me of your presence. In moments of weakness, strengthen me with your grace. In moments of trial, give me the tranquility that comes from living in your will. Jesus, I trust that you are working within me, even when I don't feel it. I abandon myself to you that you may form in me true and lasting virtue. Amen. Thank you for joining your faith anew today. May you walk in peace, trusting the God Himself as forming his life within you, infusing every virtue you need for this day. Until tomorrow, stay in his will, and your faith will be made anew.
