Luisa writes,

This morning, my adorable Jesus made Himself seen crucified, and after He communicated His pains to me, He told me: “Many are the wounds that made Me suffer during my Passion, but one was the cross. This means that many are the roads through which I draw souls to perfection, but one is the Heaven in which these souls must unite. So, if one misses that Heaven, there is no other which can make them blessed forever.” Then He added: “Take a look: one is the cross, but this cross was formed with various pieces of wood. This means that one is Heaven, but this Heaven contains various places, more or less glorious; and these places will be distributed according to the sufferings suffered down here, more or less heavy. Oh, if all knew the preciousness of suffering, they would compete with one another to suffer more! But this science is not recognized by the world, and so they abhor all that can make them richer for eternity.”

Welcome. This is David Russell and Your Faith Anew, daily reflections guiding you to live in the divine will. Today's reflection is from the Book of Heaven by the servant of God Louisa Picaretta, March 31st, 1899, volume two. Let us begin in the will and name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Heavenly Father, grant us the grace to understand the value of suffering when united to the cross of your Son. Help us to embrace every trial as a path to glory, and to see in each cross the doorway to eternal union with you. May we not flee from what sanctifies us, but welcome it in your divine will. Amen. Saint Peter writes in the first letter of Peter, chapter four, verse thirteen. But rejoice in so far as you share Christ's sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches in paragraph fifteen twenty one suffering, a consequence of original sin, acquires a new meaning. It becomes a participation in the saving work of Jesus. In this light, we now enter into the mystery of suffering as revealed by Jesus to Louisa, where the cross becomes the measure of eternal glory and union with God. Louisa writes This morning my adorable Jesus made himself seen crucified, and after he communicated his pains to me, he told me, Many are the wounds that made me suffer during my passion, but one was the cross. This means that many are the roads through which I draw souls to perfection, but one is the heaven in which these souls must unite. So if one misses that heaven, there is no other which can make them blessed forever. Then he added, Take a look. One is the cross. But this cross was formed with various pieces of wood. This means that one is heaven. But this heaven contains various places, more or less glorious, and these places will be distributed according to the sufferings suffered down here, more or less heavy. Oh, if all knew the preciousness of suffering, they could compete with one another to suffer more. But this science is not recognized by the world, and so they abhor all that can make them richer for eternity. In this powerful passage, Jesus reveals that while there are many ways he leads souls, all must pass through the cross to reach heaven. The cross is not optional, it is essential. The world avoids suffering, but heaven measures glory through it. Each sacrifice embraced in love expands the soul's capacity for divine union. Living in the divine will transforms suffering into participation in Christ's own life. Nothing is wasted. Every cross becomes eternal gain. When we accept suffering with Jesus, we begin to understand this hidden science, the wisdom that prepares the soul for heaven.

Let us pray.

Jesus, crucified love, teach me the science of suffering. Help me to embrace every cross you permit, uniting it with your passion. Let my life become a continual offering in your divine will, so that every moment may prepare me for eternal glory. Give me courage, surrender, and love in every trial. Amen. Thank you for joining your faith anew today. Remember, every cross embraced in the divine will prepares your place in heaven. Until tomorrow, stay in his will, and your faith will be made anew.
