"Your Faith Anew!"
Your Faith Anew! exists to help souls grow in their knowledge of the Catholic Faith, strive to remain in a state of grace, and encounter the transforming joy of the Gospel. Its mission is simple yet eternal: to save souls, glorify God, and become saints.
Hosted by David Russell, this daily reflection podcast draws deeply from Sacred Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and the writings of the Servant of God, Luisa Piccarreta—especially The Book of Heaven—guiding listeners into a deeper understanding of living in the Divine Will.
David is the author of four spiritually rich works: Magi Theology: The Essence of Illusion, The Little Magician – Discovers Bigger and Better, Our Pilgrimage with the Pilgrim Virgin, and his newest release, Our Mother in the Divine Will. With a lifelong fascination for the mystical, David discovered a profound connection between the art of illusion and deeper spiritual realities—an insight that inspired both his theological and children’s writings. His work Magi Theology received both the Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur from the Diocese of Knoxville.
In 2010, David was introduced to the writings of Luisa Piccarreta, which deeply resonated with his own spiritual insights. This encounter helped shape the foundation of his ministry.
In 2017, he founded the Your Faith Anew! prayer and study group to help Catholics rediscover and fall in love with their Faith. At the heart of his message is this conviction:
“The Catholic Faith prepares us to receive the Gift of Living in the Divine Will—and this Gift enables us to live our Faith in a divine manner most pleasing to God.”
Join us daily as we seek not only to understand our Faith—but to live it fully, joyfully, and in union with the Divine Will.

Luisa writes,
Today, while my loving Jesus was making Himself seen, it seemed to me
that He was sending me many flashes of light which penetrated through all of me,
when, in one instant, I found myself outside of myself together with Him, and the
confessor was there. Immediately I prayed my beloved Jesus to give a kiss to the
confessor, and to go into his arms for a little while (Jesus was a child). To make
me content, immediately He kissed the confessor on his face, but without wanting
to detach from me. I remained all afflicted, and I said to Him: ‘My little treasure,
my intention was for You to kiss, not his face, but his mouth, so that, touched by
your most pure lips, it might be sanctified and strengthened from that weakness.
In this way, it will be able to announce your holy word more freely, and to sanctify
others. O please! I pray You to make me content.’ So, Jesus gave him another
kiss on his mouth, and then He said: “I am so very pleased with the souls who
are detached from everything, not only in the affect, but also in the effect, that as
they keep stripping themselves, my light keeps investing them, and they become
just like crystals, such that the light of the sun finds no impediment to penetrate
inside of them, unlike buildings and other material things.”
Then He added: “Ah! They think that they strip themselves, but instead,
they come to be clothed not only with spiritual things, but also with corporal ones,
because my providence has a care, all particular and special, for these detached
souls. My providence covers them everywhere; it happens that they have nothing,
but they possess everything.”
After this, we withdrew from the confessor, and we found many religious
people who seemed all to have their goals set on working for their interest.
Passing through their midst, Jesus said: “Woe – woe to one who works for the
purpose of gaining money! You have already received your recompense.”

SPEAKER_00Welcome. This is David Russell and Your Faith Anew, Daily Reflections Guiding You To Live in the Divine Will. Today's reflection is from the Book of Heaven by the servant of God Louisa Picaretta, april twenty sixth, eighteen ninety nine, volume two. Let us begin in the will and name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Heavenly Father, strip our hearts of all that is not you. Teach us to detach from every created thing so that we may be filled completely with your divine light. May we trust in your providence, knowing that in losing all for you we gain everything. Amen. Saint Matthew records in his gospel, chapter six, verse thirty three. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches in paragraph three hundred two. Trust in God's providence is a disposition of the heart. It concerns the trust that God takes care of all things. With this in mind, we now enter into the light of this divine teaching. Louisa writes Today, while my loving Jesus was making himself seen, it seemed to me that he was sending me many flashes of light which penetrated through all of me, when in one instant I found myself outside of myself together with him, and the confessor was there. Immediately I prayed my beloved Jesus to give a kiss to the confessor, and to go into his arms for a little while. Jesus was a child. To make me content, immediately he kissed the confessor on his face, but without wanting to detach from me. I remained all afflicted, and I said to him, My little treasure, my intention was for you to kiss not his face but his mouth, so that, touched by your most pure lips, it might be sanctified and strengthened from that weakness. In this way it will be able to announce your holy word more freely and to sanctify others. Oh please, I pray you to make me content. So Jesus gave him another kiss on his mouth, and then he said, I am so very pleased with the souls who are detached from everything, not only in the effect, but also in the effect, that as they keep stripping themselves, my light keeps investing them, and they become just like crystals, such that the light of the sun finds no impediment to penetrate inside of them, unlike buildings and other material things. Then he added Ah they think that they strip themselves, but instead they come to be clothed not only with spiritual things, but also with corporal ones, because my providence has a care, all particular and special for these detached souls. My providence covers them everywhere. It happens that they have nothing, but they possess everything. After this, we withdrew from the confessor, and we found many religious people who seemed all to have their goals set on working for their interest. Passing through their midst, Jesus said, Woe, woe to the one who works for the purpose of gaining money. You have already received your recompense. This passage reveals a paradox of the spiritual life. To possess everything, one must first let go of everything. Jesus praises the soul who is detached not only in affection, but in effect, that is not only interiorly, but in action. True detachment is not merely a feeling, it's a lived reality. Such a soul becomes like crystal, transparent, unobstructed, allowing the divine light to penetrate fully. And what happens then? God himself becomes their provider. Divine providence surrounds them, sustains them, and enriches them in ways the world cannot understand. Though they appear to have nothing, they possess everything because they possess God. But Jesus also gives a warning. Those who act for self interest, even in religious things, have already received their reward. Their gain is temporary, and their light is dimmed. To live in the divine will is to act for God alone, no self-seeking, no hidden agenda, only love. And in this total surrender, the soul enters into a life of supernatural abundance. Let us pray. Lord Jesus, detach my heart from all that is not you. Free me from the need to possess, to control, to seek my own gain. Make me transparent like crystal, so that your light may pass through me without obstruction. Teach me to trust in your divine providence, knowing that you will provide all that I need. Let me act only for your glory, and never for myself. Clothe me, O Lord, in your light, so that even in having nothing, I may possess everything in you. Amen. Thank you for joining your faith anew today. May you walk in holy detachment, trusting that as you surrender all to God, he will fill your life with his divine abundance. Until tomorrow, stay in his will, and your faith will be made anew.
