Luisa writes,
This morning I found myself outside of myself, and I saw all of Heaven studded with crosses – some small, some large, some medium; some which were larger, emanated more splendor.  It was a most sweet enchantment to see so many crosses adorning the firmament, more refulgent than suns.  Then, it seemed that Heaven opened, and one could see and hear the feast that the Blessed were making for the cross.  Those who had suffered more were celebrated more on this day.  One could distinguish in a special way the martyrs and those who had suffered in a hidden way.  Oh, how esteemed were the cross and those who had suffered more, in that blessed dwelling!

As I was seeing this, a voice resounded throughout the whole of Heaven, saying:  “If the Lord did not send the crosses upon the earth, He would be like a father who has no love for his own children - who wants to see them poor and dishonored, instead of honored and rich.”

The rest that I saw during this feast I have no words to describe.  I can feel it within me, but I am unable to express it; so I remain silent.

Welcome. This is David Russell and Your Faith Anew. Daily Reflections guiding you to live in the divine will. Today's reflection is from the Book of Heaven by the servant of God Louisa Picaretta, may third, nineteen hundred, volume three. Let us begin in the will and name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Lord Jesus, you have transformed the cross into glory and eternal reward. Open our eyes to see suffering as heaven sees it, and grant us the grace to embrace every cross with love, knowing it leads us to true riches. Amen. Saint James writes in the letter of James, chapter one, verse twelve. Blessed is the man who endures trial, for when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life which God has promised to those who love him. As it regards the anointing of the sick, the catechism of the Catholic Church teaches in paragraph fifteen twenty one By the grace of this sacrament, the sick person receives the strength and the gift of uniting himself more closely to Christ's passion. In a certain way, he is consecrated to bear fruit by configuration to the Savior's redemptive passion. Before we enter into today's reading, we're reminded that suffering, when united to Christ, becomes fruitful and redemptive. It's not loss, but transformation. This prepares us to understand the heavenly vision given to Louisa. Louisa writes This morning I found myself outside of myself, and I saw all of heaven studded with crosses, some small, some large, some medium. Some which were larger emanated more splendor. It was a most sweet enchantment to see so many crosses adorning the firmament, more refulgent than sons. Then it seemed that heaven opened, and one could see and hear the feast that the blessed were making for the cross. Those who had suffered more were celebrated more on this day. One could distinguish in a special way the martyrs and those who had suffered in a hidden way. Oh how esteemed were the cross and those who had suffered more in that blessed dwelling. As I was seeing this, a voice resounded throughout the whole of heaven saying, If the Lord did not send the crosses upon the earth, he would be like a father who has no love for his own children, who wants to see them poor and dishonored, instead of honored and rich. The rest that I saw during this feast I have no words to describe. I can feel it within me, but I am unable to express it. So I remain silent. This vision turns our human understanding upside down. What we fear, heaven celebrates. What we avoid, heaven crowns. Louisa sees crosses not as burdens, but as lights brighter than suns. Each cross, each suffering becomes a source of eternal splendor. And those who suffered more, especially in hidden ways, are most honored. This reveals the hidden value of quiet sacrifices, unseen by the world, but treasured by God. The voice declares something striking. Without crosses, God would appear as a father who does not love his own children. Why? Because the cross is what enriches the soul. Without the cross, we remain spiritually poor. With it we become rich in grace, glory, and union with God. In the divine will, every cross becomes divine currency. Every suffering, embraced with love, becomes eternal glory. This invites us to change our perspective. Instead of asking, why this cross? We begin to ask, How can I unite this to Jesus? Because one day, what we carry now will shine forever in heaven. Let us pray. Oh Jesus, transform my understanding of the cross. Where I see burden, let me see glory. Where I feel pain, let me recognize your presence. Give me the grace to embrace each cross with love, knowing it's shaping my soul for eternity. Let no suffering be wasted. Unite every trial, every difficulty, every hidden sacrifice to your passion. May my life become filled with those crosses that shine in heaven. Acts of love, fidelity, and surrender. Teach me to love what you love, and to desire what leads me closer to you. Amen. Thank you for joining your faith anew today. Let us remember that the crosses we carry today are the glory we will celebrate tomorrow. In the divine will, every suffering embraced with love becomes eternal light. Until tomorrow, stay in his will, and your faith will be made anew.
