"Your Faith Anew!"
Your Faith Anew! exists to help souls grow in their knowledge of the Catholic Faith, strive to remain in a state of grace, and encounter the transforming joy of the Gospel. Its mission is simple yet eternal: to save souls, glorify God, and become saints.
Hosted by David Russell, this daily reflection podcast draws deeply from Sacred Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and the writings of the Servant of God, Luisa Piccarreta—especially The Book of Heaven—guiding listeners into a deeper understanding of living in the Divine Will.
David is the author of four spiritually rich works: Magi Theology: The Essence of Illusion, The Little Magician – Discovers Bigger and Better, Our Pilgrimage with the Pilgrim Virgin, and his newest release, Our Mother in the Divine Will. With a lifelong fascination for the mystical, David discovered a profound connection between the art of illusion and deeper spiritual realities—an insight that inspired both his theological and children’s writings. His work Magi Theology received both the Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur from the Diocese of Knoxville.
In 2010, David was introduced to the writings of Luisa Piccarreta, which deeply resonated with his own spiritual insights. This encounter helped shape the foundation of his ministry.
In 2017, he founded the Your Faith Anew! prayer and study group to help Catholics rediscover and fall in love with their Faith. At the heart of his message is this conviction:
“The Catholic Faith prepares us to receive the Gift of Living in the Divine Will—and this Gift enables us to live our Faith in a divine manner most pleasing to God.”
Join us daily as we seek not only to understand our Faith—but to live it fully, joyfully, and in union with the Divine Will.

Luisa writes,
I was very afflicted because of the privation of my adorable Jesus; at the
most, He comes like shadow and flashes. I really feel I cannot go on any more
if He wants to continue further! So, as I was at the summit of my affliction, He
made Himself seen for a little while, all tired, as if He needed a refreshment; and
throwing His arms around my neck, He told me: “My beloved, bring Me some
flowers and surround Me completely, for I feel I am languishing with love. My
daughter, the fragrant perfume of your flowers will be of refreshment for Me and
will remedy my troubles, for I am languishing and fainting.” Immediately, I added:
‘And You, my beloved Jesus, give me some fruits, because idleness and scarce
suffering increase my languishing so much that I faint, to the point of feeling I am
dying. So I will be able to give You not only flowers, but also fruits to relieve your
languishing more.’ And Jesus resumed His speech, saying to me: “Oh, how well
we combine together, don’t we? It seems that your will is one with Mine.” For a
moment it seemed I was relieved, as if the state in which I was wanted to cease;
but after a little while I found myself immersed in the same lethargy as before,
without my highest Good, abandoned and alone.

SPEAKER_01Welcome. This is David Russell and your faith anew, daily reflections guiding you to live in the divine will. Today's reflection is from the Book of Heaven by the servant of God Louisa Pigaretta, may twenty fourth, nineteen hundred, volume three. Let us begin in the will and name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Heavenly Father, in your divine will you invite us into a love that consoles the heart of Jesus. Grant us the grace to offer Him the flowers of our fidelity, our prayers, our sacrifices, and our acts of love. Even in moments of dryness and longing, may our souls remain united to you, trusting that every little act done in your will becomes eternal refreshment for your heart. Through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, help us persevere in love and transform our sufferings into fragrant offerings pleasing to heaven. Amen. Saint Paul writes in his second letter to the Corinthians chapter two verse fifteen. For we are the aroma of Christ to God, among those who are being saved, and among those who are perishing. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches in Paragraph nine oh one. Hence the laity, dedicated as they are to Christ and anointed by the Holy Spirit, are marvelously called and prepared, so that even richer fruits of the Spirit may be produced in them, for all their works, prayers, and apostolic undertakings, family and married life, daily work, relaxation of mind and body, if they are accomplished in the spirit, indeed even the hardships of life, if patiently born, all these become spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. Every act done in union with God becomes a fragrant offering before heaven. In the divine will, even hidden sufferings, longing and faithful perseverance become flowers and fruits that console the heart of Jesus. And now let us enter into today's reading from the Book of Heaven. Louisa writes I was very afflicted because of the privation of my adorable Jesus. At the most, he comes like shadow and flashes. I really feel I cannot go any more if he wants to continue further. So as I was at the summit of my affliction, he made himself seen for a little while, all tired, as if he needed a refreshment, and throwing his arms around my neck he told me, My beloved, bring me some flowers and surround me completely, for I feel I'm languishing with love. My daughter, the fragrant perfume of your flowers will be a refreshment for me and will remedy my troubles, for I am languishing and fainting. Immediately I added, And you, my beloved Jesus, give me some fruits, because idleness and scarce suffering increase my languishing so much that I faint to the point of feeling I am dying. So I will be able to give you not only flowers but also fruits to relieve your languishing more. And Jesus resumed his speech, saying to me, Oh how well we combine together, don't we? It seems that your will is one with mine. For a moment it seemed I was relieved, as if the state in which I was wanted to cease, but after a little while I found myself immersed in the same lethargy as before, without my highest good, abandoned and alone. In this beautiful passage, Jesus reveals something deeply consoling. He desires the flowers of the soul. These flowers are the hidden acts of love, fidelity, patience, surrender, and trust that bloom even in times of darkness and spiritual dryness. Louisa feels abandoned and deprived of the sensible presence of Jesus. Yet precisely in that suffering, Jesus appears and asks for refreshment from her love. This shows us that our suffering, united to the divine will, is never wasted. Even when we feel empty or spiritually exhausted, our acts of fidelity console the heart of Christ. Jesus says he is languishing with love. The God of heaven desires the response of the creature. He longs for our love, not because he lacks perfection, but because love always seeks union. In the divine will, the soul begins to live not merely for herself, but in harmony with the desires of Jesus Himself. Louisa responds beautifully by asking Jesus for fruits. She does not want to remain idle spiritually. She desires that even her suffering bear fruit for him. This exchange reveals the mutual life of love between Jesus and the soul living in his will. Then Jesus speaks, the central phrase of the reading. It seems that your will is one with mine. This is the goal of the spiritual life, not simply avoiding sin, not merely performing religious duties, but allowing our human will to become united with the divine will. When our desires, sufferings, prayers, and daily acts are surrendered into God's will, harmony is restored between heaven and earth. Sometimes the greatest flowers we offer Jesus are hidden from everyone else, enduring loneliness peacefully, remaining faithful in dryness, praying when we feel nothing, trusting when God seems silent, and continuing to love even when consolation disappears. These hidden flowers possess a fragrance known fully only in heaven. Let us pray. Jesus, my beloved Lord, receive today the flowers of my soul. Even when I feel weak, distracted, dry or abandoned, I desire to remain close to you in your divine will. Transform my little acts into eternal offerings of love. May every prayer, every sacrifice, every hidden suffering, and every moment of trust become a fragrant perfume that consoles your heart. Lord, when I feel alone, remind me that you are near even in silence. When I feel spiritually poor, remind me that the smallest act done in your will carries infinite value. Unite my will to yours so completely that my thoughts may echo yours, my words may carry your peace, and my actions may reflect your love. Jesus, let my life become a garden of flowers for you, flowers of patience, humility, trust, fidelity, and love. May your divine will reign in me always. Amen. Thank you for joining your faith anew today. The Lord does not ask for extraordinary achievements as much as he asks for faithful love. Until tomorrow, stay in his will, and your faith will be made anew.
