"Your Faith Anew!"
Your Faith Anew! exists to help souls grow in their knowledge of the Catholic Faith, strive to remain in a state of grace, and encounter the transforming joy of the Gospel. Its mission is simple yet eternal: to save souls, glorify God, and become saints.
Hosted by David Russell, this daily reflection podcast draws deeply from Sacred Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and the writings of the Servant of God, Luisa Piccarreta—especially The Book of Heaven—guiding listeners into a deeper understanding of living in the Divine Will.
David is the author of four spiritually rich works: Magi Theology: The Essence of Illusion, The Little Magician – Discovers Bigger and Better, Our Pilgrimage with the Pilgrim Virgin, and his newest release, Our Mother in the Divine Will. With a lifelong fascination for the mystical, David discovered a profound connection between the art of illusion and deeper spiritual realities—an insight that inspired both his theological and children’s writings. His work Magi Theology received both the Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur from the Diocese of Knoxville.
In 2010, David was introduced to the writings of Luisa Piccarreta, which deeply resonated with his own spiritual insights. This encounter helped shape the foundation of his ministry.
In 2017, he founded the Your Faith Anew! prayer and study group to help Catholics rediscover and fall in love with their Faith. At the heart of his message is this conviction:
“The Catholic Faith prepares us to receive the Gift of Living in the Divine Will—and this Gift enables us to live our Faith in a divine manner most pleasing to God.”
Join us daily as we seek not only to understand our Faith—but to live it fully, joyfully, and in union with the Divine Will.

Luisa writes,
This morning, as I was feeling afflicted more than ever because of the privation of my highest Good, He just barely made Himself seen and told me: “Just as a mighty wind invests the people and penetrates even into their bowels, in such a way as to shake the whole person, in the same way, my love and my grace, rearing up on the wings of the winds, invest and penetrate the heart, the mind and the most intimate parts of man. But in spite of this, ungrateful, man rejects my grace and offends Me. What is not my bitter sorrow!” However, I was all confused and annihilated within myself, and did not dare to utter a word. I just thought: ‘How is it that He does not come? And even when He comes, I do not see Him clearly; it seems that I have lost clarity. Who knows whether I will see His beautiful Face unveiled as before?’ While I was thinking of this, my benign Jesus added: “My daughter, why do you fear when your state is par excellence for the union of our wills?” And wanting to cheer me and compassionate my sorrowful state, He told me: “You are my new Job. Do not oppress yourself excessively if you do not see Me with clarity; I have told you since the other day that I am not coming according to my usual way, that I want to chastise the people, and if you saw Me with clarity, you would come to understand what I am doing; and since your heart has received the grafting of Mine, I know what you would suffer, just as my Heart is suffering because I see Myself forced to chastise my creatures. So, in order to spare you these pains, I do not let Myself be seen with clarity.” Who can say the piercings that this left in my poor heart! Ah, Lord, give me the strength to endure the pain!

SPEAKER_01Welcome, this is David Russell and Your Faith Anew, Daily Reflections Guiding You to Live in the Divine Will. Today's reflection is from the Book of Heaven by the servant of God Louisa Picaretta, may twenty seventh, nineteen hundred, volume three. Let us begin in the will and name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Lord Jesus, in the midst of our darkness and uncertainty, let your grace penetrate every part of our being like a mighty wind. Give us the courage to trust when we cannot see clearly, and teach us to abandon ourselves completely in the union of your divine will. Strengthen us to endure every suffering with peace, knowing that your heart is always united to ours. Amen. A reading from the book of the Prophet Isaiah, chapter forty, verse thirty one. They that hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar as with eagles' wings, they will run and not grow weary, walk and not grow faint. The catechism of the Catholic Church teaches in paragraph two hundred seventy three. Only faith can embrace the mysterious ways of God's almighty power. This faith glories in its weaknesses in order to draw to itself Christ's power. Even when God seems hidden, his grace is still working deeply within the soul. In moments of suffering and spiritual darkness, the soul is invited into a greater abandonment and trust in the divine will. And now let us enter into today's reading from the book of Heaven. Louisa writes This morning, as I was feeling afflicted more than ever because of the privation of my highest good, he just barely made himself seen and told me just as a mighty wind invests the people and penetrates even into their bowels, in such a way as to shake the whole person. In the same way my love and my grace, rearing up on the wings of the winds, invest and penetrate the heart, the mind, and the most intimate parts of man. But in spite of this, ungrateful man rejects my grace and offends me. What is not my bitter sorrow? However, I was all confused and annihilated within myself and did not dare to utter a word. I just thought how is it that he does not come? And even when he comes, I do not see him clearly. It seems that I have lost clarity. Who knows whether I will see his beautiful face unveiled as before? While I was thinking of this, my benign Jesus added My daughter, why do you fear when your state is par excellence for the union of our wills? And wanting to cheer me and compassionate my sorrowful state, he told me You are my new Job. Do not oppress yourself excessively if you do not see me with clarity. I have told you since the other day that I am not coming according to my usual way, that I want to chastise the people. And if you saw me with clarity, you would come to understand what I am doing. And since your heart has received the grafting of mine, I know what you would suffer, just as my heart is suffering, because I see myself forced to chastise my creatures. So in order to spare you these pains, I do not let myself be seen with clarity. Who can say the piercings that this left in my poor heart? Ah Lord, give me the strength to endure the pain. In this passage, Jesus reveals how his grace moves through the soul like a mighty wind, unseen, powerful, penetrating every hidden place within us. Often we seek clarity, consolation, and visible signs of God's presence. Yet Jesus teaches Louisa that some of the deepest unions with him happen precisely when he seems hidden. The soul that lives in the divine will learns to trust beyond feelings and appearances. Jesus tells Louisa that her state is par excellence for the union of our wills. This means that even her suffering, confusion, and inability to see clearly are becoming opportunities for deeper abandonment into God. How often do we become discouraged when prayer feels dry or when God seems distant? Yet these moments may actually be invitations into a more mature love, a love that remains faithful without needing constant consolation. Jesus compares Louisa to Job, reminding us that suffering endured with trust has immense spiritual value. The soul united to the divine will begins to participate in the very sorrows of Christ, sharing in his suffering for souls while remaining hidden in him. Today, let us allow the winds of divine grace to move through our hearts. Even when we cannot understand what God is doing, his grace is still working, still transforming, still drawing us into deeper union with His will. Let us pray. Jesus, hidden yet ever present, allow the winds of your grace to penetrate every part of my soul. In moments of darkness, teach me to trust. In moments of suffering, teach me abandonment. When I cannot see clearly, let me still believe that you are near. Lord, unite my will to yours so completely that even my trials may become acts of love and reparation. Remove fear from my heart and replace it with confidence in your providence. May every hidden suffering become a place where your divine will reigns more fully within me. Let me remain peaceful beneath the movements of your grace, knowing that you never abandon the soul who seeks you sincerely. Jesus, I trust in you. Amen. Thank you for joining your faith anew today. As we continue our journey in the divine will, let us remember that even when Jesus seems hidden, his grace is still moving powerfully within the soul. Until tomorrow, stay in his will, and your faith will be made anew.
