Luisa writes,

After a long silence on the part of my adorable Jesus – at the most, a few things about the scourges He wants to pour – this morning, as I was oppressed and tired because of my hard position, especially because of the continuous privations to which I am often subjected, I saw Him for short instants, and He told me: “My daughter, crosses and tribulations are the bread of eternal beatitude.” I comprehended that as we suffer more, more abundant and more enjoyable will be the bread that will nourish us in the celestial dwelling; that is, the more we suffer, the greater the deposit we receive of the future glory.

Welcome. This is David Russell and Your Faith Anew, Daily Reflections Guiding You to Live in the Divine Will. Today's reflection is from the Book of Heaven by the servant of God Louisa Picaretta, june thirteenth, nineteen oh one, volume four. Let us begin in the will and name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Heavenly Father, grant us the grace to embrace every cross permitted in our lives with trust and love. Help us to see beyond present difficulties and to recognize that every suffering united to Jesus becomes a treasure for eternity. May we learn to accept your divine will in all things, knowing that your plans are always directed toward our eternal happiness. Amen. In his letter to the Romans, Saint Paul writes I consider that the sufferings of this present time are as nothing compared with the glory to be revealed for us. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches in Paragraph six hundred eighteen The cross is the unique sacrifice of Christ, the one mediator between God and men. But because in his incarnation the possibility of being made partners in a way known to God in the paschal mystery is offered to all men. As we continue our journey through the Book of Heaven, let us remain attentive to the truths Jesus reveals through Louisa, allowing these lessons to deepen our understanding of life in the divine will. In today's reading, Jesus reveals the eternal value hidden within every cross embraced for love of him. Louisa writes after a long silence on the part of my adorable Jesus, at the most, a few things about the scourges he wants to pour, this morning, as I was oppressed and tired because of my hard position, especially because of the continuous privations to which I am often subjected, I saw him for short instants, and he told me, My daughter, crosses and tribulations are the bread of eternal beatitude. I comprehended that as we suffer more, more abundant and more enjoyable will be the bread that will nourish us in the celestial dwelling. That is, the more we suffer, the greater the deposit we receive of the future glory. Jesus gives Louisa a valuable lesson in just a few words. Crosses and tribulations are the bread of eternal beatitude. We naturally seek comfort, security and relief from suffering. Yet Jesus invites us to look beyond the present moment and see life through the lens of eternity. The trials we endure with faith are not wasted. They are not meaningless interruptions to our spiritual life. They become part of the very means by which God prepares us for heaven. Louisa understands that suffering accepted in union with Jesus becomes a deposit of future glory. This does not mean that God delights in our pain. Rather, he delights in the love, trust, and surrender that can emerge when we remain faithful during difficult times. Living in the divine will transforms how we view our crosses. Instead of merely enduring them, we can offer them to Jesus and unite them with His own passion, a disappointment, an illness, a misunderstanding, a period of spiritual dryness, or even the ordinary inconveniences of daily life can become acts of love when accepted in God's will. The world often measures life by immediate results and temporary happiness. Jesus measures life by eternal fruitfulness. What appears small or hidden on earth may shine brilliantly in heaven. A suffering born patiently in the divine will may have immense value before God. This reading also reminds us that our trials are temporary. The bread of earthly suffering will one day become the bread of eternal joy. Every sacrifice made for love of God is preparing us for a happiness beyond anything we can imagine. Today, if you find yourself carrying a cross, do not lose heart. Offer it to Jesus. Tell him that you accept it because it comes through his loving hands. Ask him to unite it to his divine will. What seems burdensome today may become part of your eternal reward tomorrow. Let us pray. Jesus, my beloved Lord, thank you for teaching us the hidden value of the crosses we carry. So often I focus on the weight of my difficulties and forget the eternal purpose you have placed within them. Give me the grace to accept every trial with trust and peace. When suffering comes, help me to remember that you walk the road of Calvary before me. Teach me to unite my crosses with yours, so that they may bear fruit for souls and bring glory to the Father I place all my hardships, worries, disappointments, and struggles into your divine will. Transform them into acts of love, let nothing be wasted, may every sacrifice become a seed of eternal joy and a preparation for the happiness you have promised to those who love you. Jesus, I surrender myself completely to your divine will. Let your plans be accomplished in me today and always. Amen. Thank you for joining your faith anew today. Remember that every cross accepted in union with Jesus carries eternal value. Let us trust His wisdom, embrace His divine will, and allow every trial to become a step toward Heaven. Until tomorrow, stay in His will, and your faith will be made anew.
