"Your Faith Anew!"
Your Faith Anew! exists to help souls grow in their knowledge of the Catholic Faith, strive to remain in a state of grace, and encounter the transforming joy of the Gospel. Its mission is simple yet eternal: to save souls, glorify God, and become saints.
Hosted by David Russell, this daily reflection podcast draws deeply from Sacred Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and the writings of the Servant of God, Luisa Piccarreta—especially The Book of Heaven—guiding listeners into a deeper understanding of living in the Divine Will.
David is the author of four spiritually rich works: Magi Theology: The Essence of Illusion, The Little Magician – Discovers Bigger and Better, Our Pilgrimage with the Pilgrim Virgin, and his newest release, Our Mother in the Divine Will. With a lifelong fascination for the mystical, David discovered a profound connection between the art of illusion and deeper spiritual realities—an insight that inspired both his theological and children’s writings. His work Magi Theology received both the Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur from the Diocese of Knoxville.
In 2010, David was introduced to the writings of Luisa Piccarreta, which deeply resonated with his own spiritual insights. This encounter helped shape the foundation of his ministry.
In 2017, he founded the Your Faith Anew! prayer and study group to help Catholics rediscover and fall in love with their Faith. At the heart of his message is this conviction:
“The Catholic Faith prepares us to receive the Gift of Living in the Divine Will—and this Gift enables us to live our Faith in a divine manner most pleasing to God.”
Join us daily as we seek not only to understand our Faith—but to live it fully, joyfully, and in union with the Divine Will.

Luisa writes,
This morning, Jesus continued to make Himself seen every now and then, sharing a little bit of His sufferings with me, and sometimes the confessor appeared with Him. Since he had told me to pray for certain needs of his, in seeing him together with Our Lord I began pray Jesus to grant what he wanted.
While I was praying, all goodness, Jesus turned to the confessor and said to him: “I want Faith to inundate you everywhere, just like those boats inundated with the waters of the sea. And since I Myself am Faith, you would be inundated with Me, who possesses everything, can do everything and gives freely to those who trust in Me; and without your thinking of what will come, of when it will, and of how you will do it, I Myself will be there to assist you according to your needs.”
Then He added: “If you exercise yourself in this Faith, almost swimming in it, as recompense I will infuse three spiritual joys in your heart: first, you will penetrate the things of God with clarity, and in doing holy things you will feel inundated with such gladness, with such joy, as to feel as though soaked with it. This is the unction of my grace. Second, you will feel boredom for earthly things, and you will feel joy in your heart for celestial things. Third, total detachment from everything, and there, where you felt inclination in the past, you will feel bother; this I have been infusing in your heart for some time, and you are already experiencing it. Because of this, your heart will be inundated with the joy which naked souls enjoy, who have their hearts so inundated with my love, that they are not affected at all by the things that surround them externally.”

SPEAKER_01Welcome, this is David Russell and Your Faith The New Daily Reflections Guiding You to Live in the Divine Will. Today's reflection is from the Book of Heaven by the servant of God Louisa Picaretta, june twenty fifth, eighteen ninety nine, volume two. Let us begin in the will and name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Heavenly Father, we thank you for the gift of faith. Increase within us a deeper trust in your providence and your love. Teach us to rely on you in every circumstance, surrendering our worries, fears, and plans into your hands. May your divine will reign in our hearts so completely that we find our joy not in earthly things, but in you alone. We ask this through Christ our Lord, amen. A reading from the letter of Saint Paul to the Hebrews chapter eleven verses one and two. Faith is the realization of what is hoped for and evidence of things not seen. Because of it the ancients were well attested. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches in Paragraph one fifty three. Faith is a gift of God, a supernatural virtue infused by him. Before this faith can be exercised, man must have the grace of God to move and assist him. He must have the interior helps of the Holy Spirit, who moves the heart and converts it to God, who opens the eyes of the mind, and makes it easy for all to accept and believe the truth. As we continue our journey through the book of Heaven, let us remain attentive to the truth Jesus reveals through Louisa, allowing these lessons to deepen our understanding of life in the divine will. Jesus teaches today what happens when a soul learns to live immersed in faith. Louisa writes This morning Jesus continued to make himself seen every now and then, sharing a little bit of his sufferings with me, and sometimes the confessor appeared with him. Since he had told me to pray for certain needs of his, in seeing him together with our Lord, I began pray Jesus to grant what he wanted. While I was praying, all goodness, Jesus turned to the confessor and said to him, I want faith to inundate you everywhere, just like those boats inundated with the waters of the sea. And since I myself am faith, you would be inundated with me, who possesses everything, can do everything, and gives freely to those who trust in me. And without your thinking of what will come or when it will, and how you will do it, I myself will be there to assist you according to your needs. Then he added, If you exercise yourself in this faith, almost swimming in it, as recompense, I will infuse three spiritual joys in your heart. First, you will penetrate the things of God with clarity, and in doing holy things you will feel inundated with such gladness, with such joy as to feel as though soaked with it. This is the unction of my grace. Second, you will feel boredom for earthly things, and you will feel joy in your heart for celestial things. Third, total detachment from everything, and there where you felt inclination in the past, you will feel bother. This I have been infusing in your heart for some time, and you are already experiencing it. Because of this, your heart will be inundated with the joy which naked souls enjoy, who have their hearts so inundated with my love that they are not affected at all by the things that surround them externally. Today's passage reveals faith not merely as believing certain truths about God, but as a living relationship of complete trust. Jesus presents faith as something so vast that it can inundate a soul like the waters of the seas surround a boat. The image is beautiful. The boat is not merely floating near the water, it is completely surrounded by it. In the same way, Jesus desires that our minds, hearts, decisions, and daily concerns be surrounded by trust in Him. One of the greatest obstacles to living in the divine will is excessive concern about the future. We often want to know what will happen, when it will happen, and how everything will work out. Yet Jesus reminds us that faith means allowing him to take responsibility for what belongs to him. When we sincerely seek His will and entrust ourselves to His care, He promises to provide according to our needs. The three spiritual joys described in today's reading are also signs of a soul growing in union with God. First comes greater clarity regarding divine things. As we spend time with Jesus, the truths of faith become more luminous. We begin to see life through heavenly eyes rather than worldly perspectives. Second comes a gradual loss of attraction to earthly things and a growing delight in heavenly realities. This does not mean despising the world or neglecting our responsibility. Rather, it means placing everything in its proper order. God becomes our treasure, and everything else finds its rightful place beneath him. Third comes detachment. This detachment is not coldness or indifference. It's freedom. The soul becomes less controlled by passing emotions, human opinions, successes or disappointments, it rests more securely in God because His love has become its center. Living in divine will deepens each of these gifts. The more we place our acts, prayers, sufferings, and daily duties into God's will, the more faith becomes our atmosphere. We stop trying to carry every burden ourselves and begin allowing Jesus to carry us. The result is peace, freedom, and a growing joy that does not depend upon circumstances. Today, let us ask ourselves, Am I trusting Jesus completely? Or am I still trying to control what belongs to him? The Lord invites us to enter more deeply into the sea of faith and discover the joy of complete abandonment in his divine will. Let us pray. Jesus, you are faith itself. You know every need of my life, every concern of my heart, and every uncertainty about the future. Too often I rely upon my own understanding rather than trusting in your loving providence. Today, I surrender anew to you. Immerse me in the waters of faith. Teach me to rest in your promises and to believe that you are working in every circumstance for my good and for your glory. Thank you for joining your faith anew today. Remember that faith grows when it is exercised. Entrust your concerns to Jesus today, place your acts in his divine will, and allow him to guide every step. Until tomorrow, stay in his will, and your faith will be made anew.
