"Your Faith Anew!"
Your Faith Anew! exists to help souls grow in their knowledge of the Catholic Faith, strive to remain in a state of grace, and encounter the transforming joy of the Gospel. Its mission is simple yet eternal: to save souls, glorify God, and become saints.
Hosted by David Russell, this daily reflection podcast draws deeply from Sacred Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and the writings of the Servant of God, Luisa Piccarreta—especially The Book of Heaven—guiding listeners into a deeper understanding of living in the Divine Will.
David is the author of four spiritually rich works: Magi Theology: The Essence of Illusion, The Little Magician – Discovers Bigger and Better, Our Pilgrimage with the Pilgrim Virgin, and his newest release, Our Mother in the Divine Will. With a lifelong fascination for the mystical, David discovered a profound connection between the art of illusion and deeper spiritual realities—an insight that inspired both his theological and children’s writings. His work Magi Theology received both the Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur from the Diocese of Knoxville.
In 2010, David was introduced to the writings of Luisa Piccarreta, which deeply resonated with his own spiritual insights. This encounter helped shape the foundation of his ministry.
In 2017, he founded the Your Faith Anew! prayer and study group to help Catholics rediscover and fall in love with their Faith. At the heart of his message is this conviction:
“The Catholic Faith prepares us to receive the Gift of Living in the Divine Will—and this Gift enables us to live our Faith in a divine manner most pleasing to God.”
Join us daily as we seek not only to understand our Faith—but to live it fully, joyfully, and in union with the Divine Will.

Luisa writes,
It continues always in the same way. This morning, it seems that Jesus wanted to cheer me a little bit, after I had gone in search for Him for some time. I saw a child from afar, like lightning that falls down from heaven; I ran up to him, and as I arrived, I took him in my arms. A doubt came to me that it might not be Jesus, so I said to him: ‘My dear little treasure, tell me, who are you?’ And He: “I am your dear and beloved Jesus.” And I to Him: ‘My beautiful little baby, I pray You to take my heart and bring it with You to Paradise, for after the heart, the soul too will come.’ Jesus seemed to take my heart, and He united it so much with His own that they became one.
Afterwards, Heaven opened; it seemed that a very great feast was being prepared. At that very moment a young man of lovely appearance came down from Heaven, all dazzling with fire and flames. Jesus told me: “Tomorrow is the feast of my dear Aloysius – I must go attend.” And I: ‘And so You leave Me alone – what shall I do?’ And He: “You too will come. Look at how beautiful Aloysius is; but the greatest thing in him, which distinguished him on earth, was the love with which he operated. Everything was love in him - love occupied him interiorly, love surrounded him externally; so, one can say that even his breath was love. This is why it is said of him that he never suffered distraction – because love inundated him everywhere, and with this love he will be inundated eternally, as you see.”
And in fact it seemed that the love of Saint Aloysius was so very great, as to be able to burn the whole world to ashes. Then, Jesus added: “I stroll over the highest mountains, and there I form my delight.” Since I did not understand the meaning of it, He continued: “The highest mountains are the Saints who have loved Me the most, and in them I form my delight, both when they are on earth, and when they pass into Heaven. So, everything is in love.”
After this, I prayed Jesus to bless me and those whom I was seeing at that moment; and He, giving His blessing, disappeared.

SPEAKER_00Welcome. This is David Russell and Your Faith Anew, Daily Reflections Guiding You to Live in the Divine Will. Today's reflection is from the Book of Heaven by the servant of God Louisa Picaretta, june twentieth, eighteen ninety nine, volume two. Let us begin in the will and name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Heavenly Father, through the sacred heart of Jesus, grant us the grace to love you with an undivided heart. May your divine will reign within us so completely that every thought, word, breath, and action becomes an act of love for you. Through the example of Saint Aloysius Gonzaga, teach us to live faithfully in your presence and to seek our delight in you alone. Amen. In his first letter to the Corinthians, Saint Paul writes in chapter thirteen, verses one to three. If I speak in human and angelic tongues, but do not have love, I am a resounding gong or a clashing symbol. And if I have the gift of prophecy and comprehend all mysteries and all knowledge, if I have all faith so as to move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give away everything I own, and if I hand my body over so that I may boast but do not have love, I gain nothing. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches in paragraphs eighteen twenty two to eighteen twenty three. Charity is the theological virtue by which we love God above all things for his own sake and our neighbor as ourselves for the love of God. Jesus makes charity the new commandment. By loving his own to the end, he makes manifest the Father's love which he receives. By loving one another, the disciples imitate the love of Jesus, which they themselves receive. Whence Jesus says, As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. And again, this is my commandment that you love one another as I have loved you. As we continue our journey through the Book of Heaven, let's remain attentive to the truths Jesus reveals through Louisa, allowing these lessons to deepen our understanding of life in the divine will. Today's reading reveals how love becomes the soul's highest path to union with God. Louisa writes It continues always in the same way. This morning it seems that Jesus wanted to cheer me a little bit. After I had gone in search for him for some time, I saw a child from afar, like lightning that falls down from heaven. I ran up to him, and as I arrived I took him in my arms. A doubt came to me that it might not be Jesus. So I said to him, My dear little treasure, tell me who are you? And he I am your dear and beloved Jesus. And I said to him, My beautiful little baby, I pray you to take my heart and bring it with you to paradise, for after the heart the soul too will come. Jesus seemed to take my heart, and he united it so much with his own that they became one. Afterwards, heaven opened. It seemed that a very great feast was being prepared. At that very moment a young man of lovely appearance came down from heaven all dazzling with fire and flames. Jesus told me Tomorrow is the feast of my dear Aloishus. I must go attend. And I and so you leave me alone, what shall I do? And he too will come. Look at how beautiful Aloishus is. But the greatest thing in him which distinguished him on earth was the love with which he operated. Everything was love in him. Love occupied him interior. Love surrounded him externally. So one can say that even his breath was love. This is why it is said of him that he never suffered distraction, because love inundated him everywhere, and with this love he will be inundated eternally, as you see. And in fact it seemed that the love of Saint Aloysus was so very great as to be able to burn the whole world to ashes. Then Jesus added, I stroll over the highest mountains, and there I form my delight. Since I did not understand the meaning of it, he continued The highest mountains are the saints who have loved me the most, and in them I form my delight, both when they are on earth and when they pass into heaven. So everything is in love. After this, I prayed Jesus to bless me and those whom I was seeing at that moment, and he, giving his blessing, disappeared. This beautiful passage centers on one theme above all others love. Jesus points to Saint Aloysius Gonzaga and reveals the secret of his holiness. It was not extraordinary accomplishments, great learning, or public recognition. It was love. Everything in him was transformed by love. Love occupied him interiorly. Love surrounded him externally. Even his breath, Jesus says, was love. What does this mean for us who desire to live in the divine will? The divine will is not merely a way of doing good works. It is a way of allowing God's own love to become the life of our actions. When we unite our will to God's will, our ordinary activities become filled with divine love, a simple prayer, a household task, a conversation, a sacrifice, or a hidden act of patience can become an act of eternal value when done in union with God. Jesus tells Louisa that Saint Aloysius never suffered distraction because love inundated him everywhere. This does not necessarily mean he never experienced wandering thoughts. Rather, his heart remained fixed on God. His deepest desire, his constant orientation was toward divine love. This is an important lesson. Many souls become discouraged because they notice weaknesses, distractions, or imperfections. Yet Jesus points us toward something deeper. The more we love, the more our hearts remain centered on Him. Love gathers the soul. Love simplifies the soul. Love draws every faculty towards its true center, which is God Himself. Jesus also says that He strolls over the highest mountains and forms his delight there. He explains that these mountains are the saints who have loved him the most. Holiness is measured not primarily by what we accomplish, but by how much we love. The saints became great because they allowed God's love to reign within them. Living in the divine will invites us into that same path. Throughout the day we can renew our intention. Jesus, I love you. May everything I do today be united to your divine will. Little by little, love begins to permeate our thoughts, our work, our relationships, and our sufferings. In the end, Jesus concludes with a simple but profound statement. So everything is in love. Those words summarize the entire spiritual life. Love is the beginning, the path, and the fulfillment. The more we allow God's will to reign in us, the more every moment becomes an opportunity to love Him and to let His love flow through us to others. Let us pray. Jesus, our beloved Lord, we thank you for revealing the beauty of a soul completely transformed by love. Through the example of Saint Aloysus, teach us that true holiness is found not in extraordinary achievements, but in loving you with our whole heart. Take our hearts, Lord, and unite them to yours as you united Louisa's heart to your own. Remove whatever keeps us divided within ourselves. Gather our thoughts, desires, affections, and intentions into the unity of your divine will. May your love occupy us interiorly and surround us exteriorly. Let every breath become an act of love, every duty an offering of love, every suffering a sacrifice of love, and every joy a hymn of love. Jesus, help us become those mountains upon which you delight to stroll. Form within us a life so united to your will that you find your joy in dwelling within our souls. We surrender ourselves completely to you. May your divine will reign in us, guide us, and transform us until everything within us proclaims Jesus, I love you. Amen. Thank you for joining your faith anew today. The central lesson of today's reading is that holiness is measured by love. As we seek to live in the divine will, may every thought, word, and action become an expression of love for God and neighbor. Until tomorrow, stay in his will, and your faith will be made anew.
