Your Faith Anew! exists to help souls grow in their knowledge of the Catholic Faith, strive to remain in a state of grace, and encounter the transforming joy of the Gospel. Its mission is simple yet eternal: to save souls, glorify God, and become saints.
Hosted by David Russell, this daily reflection podcast draws deeply from Sacred Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and the writings of the Servant of God, Luisa Piccarreta—especially The Book of Heaven—guiding listeners into a deeper understanding of living in the Divine Will.
David is the author of four spiritually rich works: Magi Theology: The Essence of Illusion, The Little Magician – Discovers Bigger and Better, Our Pilgrimage with the Pilgrim Virgin, and his newest release, Our Mother in the Divine Will. With a lifelong fascination for the mystical, David discovered a profound connection between the art of illusion and deeper spiritual realities—an insight that inspired both his theological and children’s writings. His work Magi Theology received both the Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur from the Diocese of Knoxville.
In 2010, David was introduced to the writings of Luisa Piccarreta, which deeply resonated with his own spiritual insights. This encounter helped shape the foundation of his ministry.
In 2017, he founded the Your Faith Anew! prayer and study group to help Catholics rediscover and fall in love with their Faith. At the heart of his message is this conviction:
“The Catholic Faith prepares us to receive the Gift of Living in the Divine Will—and this Gift enables us to live our Faith in a divine manner most pleasing to God.”

Luisa writes,
This morning, since blessed Jesus was not coming, I felt all confused and humiliated. Then, after I struggled very much, He made Himself seen for just a little, telling me: “Luisa, always humiliated with Christ.”
And I, pleased and yearning to be humiliated with Christ, said: ‘Always, Oh Lord!’ And He repeated: “And the always of the humiliation with Christ, will give rise to the always of the exaltation with Christ.”
So I understood that as many humiliations as the soul undergoes with Christ and for love of Christ, if they are continuous, so many times will the Lord exalt her; and He will make this exaltation continuously before the whole Celestial Court, before men, and finally, even before demons themselves.

Today's reflection is from the Book of Heaven by the servant of God Louisa Picaretta, july seventh, nineteen oh two, volume four. Let us begin in the will and name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Heavenly Father, grant us the grace to embrace every humiliation permitted in our lives with humility, trust and love. May we never seek recognition or earthly praise, but only the joy of belonging completely to you. Through Jesus, teach us that every cross accepted in your divine will becomes the seed of eternal glory. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen. From the first letter of Saint Peter, chapter five six. So humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches in paragraph twenty five fifty nine Prayer is the raising of one's mind and heart to God or the requesting of good things from God. But when we pray, do we speak from the height of our pride and will or out of the depths of a humble and contrite heart? He who humbles himself will be exalted. Humility is the foundation of prayer. Only when we humbly acknowledge that we do not know how to pray as we ought, are we ready to receive freely the gift of prayer? Man is a beggar before God. Every act embraced in humility prepares the soul to receive God's greatest gifts. Let us now listen to today's passage from the Book of Heaven. So I understood that as many humiliations as the soul undergoes with Christ and for love of Christ, if they are continuous, so many times will the Lord exalt her, and he will make this exaltation continuously before the whole celestial court, before men, and finally even before demons themselves. Today's passage reveals a beautiful paradox of the spiritual life. Jesus does not promise immediate relief from humiliation. Instead, he promises something infinitely greater that every humiliation accepted with him becomes the foundation for future exaltation with him. This teaching runs contrary to our natural instincts. We instinctively defend our reputation, explain ourselves, seek approval, and avoid embarrassment. Yet Jesus invites us onto another path, the path He Himself walked. Throughout his earthly life, Jesus accepted misunderstanding, rejection, false accusations, ridicule, and finally the humiliation of the cross. None of these diminished his dignity. Rather, they revealed the immeasurable depth of his love and obedience to the Father. Living in the divine will transforms how we view these moments. Instead of asking why is this happening to me? We begin asking Jesus, how can you live this moment again within me? When our pride is wounded, when our efforts go unnoticed, when others misunderstand our intentions, we have an opportunity to unite ourselves with Christ's own humility. If accepted peacefully and offered in the divine will, these moments become acts possessing eternal value. Jesus tells Louisa that the always of humiliation gives rise to the always of exaltation. Notice that he speaks of perseverance. A single humble act is beautiful, but a life consistently surrendered to God's will shapes the soul into the likeness of Christ. Living in the divine will does not mean seeking humiliation for its own sake, rather it means welcoming whatever God permits without resentment, trusting that He knows precisely how to purify our hearts. Every hidden sacrifice accepted in love expands our capacity to receive His own divine life. One day, every act performed quietly in God's will will be revealed before the entire heavenly court. What seemed insignificant on earth will shine with eternal glory because it was Jesus Himself acting within the soul. Today, let us ask for the grace not to measure our lives by human recognition. The applause of the world quickly fades, but the approval of Christ lasts forever. If we allow him to transform our pride into humility, our self will into surrender, and our wounds into offerings of love, then we will be already beginning to live the life of heaven here on earth. Let us pray. Lord Jesus, teach me to welcome every humiliation with the peace and confidence you possessed during your earthly life. Remove from my heart every desire for praise, recognition, or self importance. May each hidden sacrifice become an opportunity for you to live your humility within me. I place every joy, every sorrow, every success, and every disappointment into your divine will, trusting that your promises never fail. May my only desire be to glorify you now and forever. Amen. Thank you for joining your faith anew today. May today's reflection remind us that humility embraced with Jesus is never wasted. Until tomorrow, stay in his will and let Jesus do.
