Your Faith Anew! exists to help souls grow in their knowledge of the Catholic Faith, strive to remain in a state of grace, and encounter the transforming joy of the Gospel. Its mission is simple yet eternal: to save souls, glorify God, and become saints.
Hosted by David Russell, this daily reflection podcast draws deeply from Sacred Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and the writings of the Servant of God, Luisa Piccarreta—especially The Book of Heaven—guiding listeners into a deeper understanding of living in the Divine Will.
David is the author of four spiritually rich works: Magi Theology: The Essence of Illusion, The Little Magician – Discovers Bigger and Better, Our Pilgrimage with the Pilgrim Virgin, and his newest release, Our Mother in the Divine Will. With a lifelong fascination for the mystical, David discovered a profound connection between the art of illusion and deeper spiritual realities—an insight that inspired both his theological and children’s writings. His work Magi Theology received both the Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur from the Diocese of Knoxville.
In 2010, David was introduced to the writings of Luisa Piccarreta, which deeply resonated with his own spiritual insights. This encounter helped shape the foundation of his ministry.
In 2017, he founded the Your Faith Anew! prayer and study group to help Catholics rediscover and fall in love with their Faith. At the heart of his message is this conviction:
“The Catholic Faith prepares us to receive the Gift of Living in the Divine Will—and this Gift enables us to live our Faith in a divine manner most pleasing to God.”

Luisa writes,
While I was in the same confusion, He made Himself seen like a flash and made me understand that I had not written everything He had told me the day before – that is, that the soul must not only live for God, but in God. So, blessed Jesus repeated to me the difference that exists between living for God and living in God, saying to me: “In living for God, the soul can be subject to disturbances, to bitternesses, to being inconstant, to feeling the weight of passions, to meddle in earthly things. But the living in God – no, it is completely different, because the most important thing so that one person may enter to dwell inside another person is to lay down all that belongs to him – that is, to strip himself of everything, to leave his own passions; in a word, to leave everything in order to find everything in God.
Now, when the soul has not only stripped herself, but has slimmed down well, then will she be able to enter through the narrow door of my Heart to live in Me, according to my way and from my own Life. In fact, even though my Heart is immense, so much so, that there is no end to Its boundaries, Its door, however, is extremely narrow, and only one who is stripped of everything can enter into It. This, with reason, because since I am Most Holy, I would never admit anything to live in Me which is extraneous to my sanctity. Therefore, my daughter, try to live in Me and you will possess Paradise in advance.”
Who can say how much I understood of this living in God? But then He disappeared and I was left in my same state.

SPEAKER_01Welcome. This is David Russell and your faith anew daily reflections guiding you to live in the divine will. Today's reflection is from the Book of Heaven by the servant of God Louisa Picaretta, july tenth, nineteen hundred, volume three. Let us begin in the will and name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, amen. Heavenly Father, you created us not merely to follow you from afar, but to dwell in intimate communion with you. Open our hearts today to receive the grace of surrender, that by emptying ourselves of all that is not of you, we may more fully live in your divine will. Through Christ our Lord, amen. A reading from the letter of Saint Paul to the Colossians chapter three verses one through four. If then you were raised with Christ, seek what is above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Think of what is above, not of what is on earth, for you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ your life appears, then you too will appear with him in glory. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches in Paragraph two sixty zero O my God, Trinity whom I adore, help me forget myself entirely so to establish myself in you, unmovable and peaceful as if my soul were already in eternity. May nothing be able to trouble my peace or make me leave you, O my unchanging God, but may each minute bring me more deeply into your mystery. Grant my soul peace. Make it your heaven, your beloved dwelling, and the place of your rest. May I never abandon you there, but may I be there whole and entire, completely vigilant in my faith, entirely adoring, and wholly given over to your creative action. Today, Jesus reveals that his desire is not simply that we serve him, but that we come to dwell within his own divine life. Let us now listen to today's passage from the Book of Heaven. The distinction Jesus makes in today's passage is one of the most significant teachings found in the Book of Heaven. There's a great difference between living for God and living in God. Many faithful Christians sincerely strive to live for God. They love Him, pray faithfully, receive the sacraments, and seek to do His will. This is a beautiful and holy life. Yet Jesus invites Louisa and through her each of us to something even deeper. Living in God means allowing His divine will to become the very life of our soul. Rather than simply performing good works for Him, we invite Him to think within our thoughts, love within our hearts, speak through our words, and act through our actions. Our own human will gradually yields to His divine will. Jesus uses a challenging image. His heart is infinite, yet its entrance is narrow. The limitation is not his love, but our attachments. Pride, self reliance, fears, resentments, ambitions, and even our own plans can become burdens we insist on carrying. The more we cling to ourselves, the more difficult it becomes to enter into that intimate union He desires. This stripping away is not a loss, but an exchange. Every surrender allows us to receive something infinitely greater. We leave behind what is temporary in order to possess what is eternal. Living in the divine will does not usually require extraordinary actions. Instead, it transforms ordinary moments washing dishes, driving to work, praying the rosary, speaking kindly to another person or enduring suffering with patience all become divine acts when we consciously invite Jesus to live them within us. The beautiful promise Jesus makes is that the soul who learns to live in him begins to possess paradise in advance. Heaven is not merely a future destination, its life begins wherever God's will reigns completely. Remember the catechism quote? Help me forget myself entirely so to establish myself in you unmovable and peaceful as if my soul were already in eternity. Today, let us ask ourselves a simple question. Am I merely trying to do things for Jesus? Or am I inviting Jesus to do them within me? Every time we renew our intention, Jesus, I give you my will. Live this moment in me. We take another step through the narrow door into the vastness of his sacred heart. Let Jesus do. Let us pray. Lord Jesus, thank you for inviting us into the intimacy of your divine life. Empty us of everything that separates us from you, and teach us to surrender our own will with trust and love. May every thought, every word, and every action today become an opportunity for you to live and reign within us. Help us begin even now to experience the joy and peace of heaven by living completely in your divine will. Amen. Thank you for joining your faith anew today. As you go about your day, remember that each moment offers another opportunity to surrender your will and allow Jesus to live within you. The more completely you live in Him, the more His peace, His love, and His life become your own. Until tomorrow, stay in His will, and your faith will be made anew.
