Welcome. This is David Russell and Your Faith Anew Daily Reflections Guiding You To Live in the Divine Will. Today's reflection is from the Book of Heaven by the servant of God Louisa Picaretta, july twelfth, nineteen oh six, volume seven. Let us begin in the will and name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Heavenly Father, teach us to recognize your loving presence even in the smallest sufferings of daily life. Grant us the grace to unite every trial, inconvenience, and sacrifice with Jesus, so that nothing we experience is wasted, but instead becomes an opportunity to receive your divine life more fully. May every cross draw us closer to your divine will. Amen. A reading from the second letter of Saint Paul to the Corinthians, chapter four, verse seventeen. For this momentary light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches in Paragraph seven nine five. Let us rejoice then and give thanks that we have become not only Christians, but Christ Himself. Do you understand and grasp, brethren, God's grace toward us? Marvel and rejoice we have become Christ. As we listen now, may our hearts become more attentive to the hidden treasures God places within every touch embraced in His will. Just as Louisa experienced, Jesus continues to reveal profound truth through even the briefest encounters with the soul. Louisa writes Having struggled very much in waiting for my blessed Jesus, I was feeling tired and exhausted. Then, coming almost in passing, he told me My daughter, everything that serves as sufferings or as pricking to the creature, on one hand pricks the creature, on the other touches God, and God, feeling touched at each touch he feels, gives always something divine to the creature, and he disappeared. Today's passage is remarkably brief, yet it contains an extraordinary spiritual truth. Jesus tells Louisa that everything which serves as a suffering or a pricking for the creature also touches God Himself. The pain does not remain confined to us. Every sorrow, disappointment, illness, misunderstanding, sacrifice, or hidden struggle reaches the heart of God. This changes the way we view suffering. We often see pain only from our own perspective. We feel the inconvenience, the loss, or the emotional burden. Jesus reminds us that every suffering has another direction as well. While it pricks us, it also touches him. God is not distant or indifferent. He allows himself to be moved by the one who suffers with trust. Even more astonishing is what follows. Jesus says that every time he is touched, he gives something divine to the creature. In other words, suffering united with him is never merely endured. It becomes an exchange. We offer our weakness, and he responds with his grace. We offer our poverty, and he enriches us with his divine life. We offer our wounds, and he forms Christ more deeply within us. Living in the divine will helps us become aware of this continual exchange. Instead of asking only why is this happening? We begin asking Jesus, what divine gift do you desire to place within me through this moment? Every interruption, every physical pain, every act of patience becomes an opportunity for a divine encounter. This doesn't mean we seek suffering for its own sake. Rather, when suffering inevitably comes, we refuse to let it become meaningless. We place it in the divine will. We unite it with the passion of Jesus Christ. Then what appears small in the eyes of the world becomes a channel through which God pours his own life into the soul. As stated in the teaching of the Church, marvel and rejoice we have become Christ. Perhaps today, your suffering is something no one else sees a worry for your family, a health concern, loneliness, fatigue, or waiting upon God's timing. Jesus assures you that none of it is unnoticed. Every hidden sacrifice reaches his sacred heart. Every loving acceptance becomes another touch upon God and every touch draws down another gift of his grace. What a beautiful way to live. Instead of fearing life's little crosses, we can welcome them as opportunities to deepen our union with Jesus. The more we remain in His divine will, the more every circumstance, even those we would never choose, becomes transformed into an occasion for divine love. Let us pray. Lord Jesus, thank you for revealing that no suffering offered in love is ever lost. Teach us to unite every cross, whether great or small, with your passion. Help us to trust that every trial touching our lives also touches your sacred heart, and that you never fail to respond with divine grace. May we welcome each day as an opportunity to live more completely in your divine will, allowing every sacrifice to become an act of love for you and for the salvation of souls. We surrender ourselves completely to you. Let your will be our life, our strength, and our everlasting peace. Amen. Thank you for joining your faith anew today. May this day's reflection remind you that every sacrifice offered in the divine will is seen, received, and transformed by God into a gift of grace.
