Welcome. This is David Russell and Your Faith Anew, Daily Reflections Guiding You to Live in the Divine Will. Today's reflection is from the Book of Heaven by the servant of God Louisa Picaretta, july twenty third, nineteen oh one, volume four. Let us begin in the will and name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Heavenly Father, you invite us to rest securely in your loving providence. When our minds become troubled by uncertainty, or our hearts are tempted to rely upon ourselves, draw us back to the peace that comes from surrendering everything into your hands. Fill us with the grace to choose your holy will above every fear, every distraction, and every desire that would separate us from you. May our lives become quiet instruments of your love, bringing hope, encouragement, and strength wherever you send us. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen. A reading from the letter of Saint Paul to the Romans chapter twelve verses one and two. I urge you, therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God, your spiritual worship. Do not conform yourselves to this age, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind that you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and pleasing and perfect. Please listen closely to what the catechism of the Catholic Church teaches in paragraph twenty eight twenty five. Although he was a son, Jesus learned obedience through what he suffered Hebrews eight. How much more reason have we sinful creatures to learn obedience? We who in him have become children of adoption. We ask our Father to unite our will to his sons, in order to fulfill his will, his plan of salvation for the life of the world. We are radically incapable of this, but united with Jesus and with the power of his Holy Spirit, we can surrender our will to Him and decide to choose what His Son has always chosen to do what is pleasing to the Father. Then the catechism quotes from origin of Alexandria in committing ourselves to Christ, we can become one spirit with him, and thereby accomplish his will in such ways that it will be perfect on earth as it is in heaven. Then in paragraph twenty eight twenty five they quote a homily by Saint John Chrysostom. Consider how Jesus Christ teaches us to be humble by making us see that our virtue does not depend on our work alone, but on grace from on high. He commands each of the faithful who praise to do so universally for the whole world. For he did not say Thy will be done in me or in us, but on earth the whole earth, so that error may be banished from it, truth take root in it, all vice be destroyed on it, virtue flourish on it, and earth no longer differ from heaven. May today's passage from Louisa encourage us to discover the lasting peace that flows from a heart fully surrendered to God's loving plan. Let us invite the Holy Spirit to deepen within us a joyful confidence in the Father's perfect will. Louisa writes As I was with many doubts about my state on coming, my adorable Jesus told me, Daughter, do not fear. What I recommend to you is that you remain always conformed to my will, because when the divine will is in the soul, neither the diabolical nor the human will have the strength to enter the soul to make fun of her. After this, I seem to see him crucified, and since the Lord had shared with me not only his pains but some sufferings of another person, he added This is true charity to destroy oneself in order to give life to others, to take upon oneself the evils of others, and to give me one's own goods. There is a tremendous difference between merely believing that God has a plan and joyfully allowing that plan to unfold without resistance. Every disciple eventually reaches moments when certainty disappears and trust alone remains. It's precisely in those moments that faith becomes mature. Living in the divine will is not about controlling every circumstance or understanding every mystery. It's about recognizing that God never loses sight of us, even when we lose sight of Him. His providence is not measured by our emotions, but by His perfect love. Our greatest spiritual victories are often hidden from the world. They occur quietly each time we choose forgiveness instead of resentment, patience instead of frustration, humility instead of pride, and confidence instead of fear. These hidden victories allow God's own life to expand within us. The enemy seeks to keep us occupied with confusion, discouragement, and endless self analysis. Jesus, however, continually invites us to lift our eyes from ourselves and place them upon Him. The more we remain centered on Him, the less room there is for anxiety to dominate our hearts. When we awaken each morning, we can offer every conversation, every responsibility, every joy and every hardship into the divine will before the day even begins. Throughout the day we can quietly renew that offering whenever we become distracted. Little by little, our ordinary routines become places where grace flourishes. The saints teach us that holiness is not reserved for extraordinary souls. It's found in extraordinary fidelity to ordinary moments. Every act performed with love and united to God's will becomes an offering of immense value before heaven. Today, resist the temptation to carry burdens that belong to the Lord. Instead, entrust them to him with childlike confidence. Allow his peace to replace your striving. Allow his wisdom to direct your decisions. Allow his love to become the source of every word and action. The more we allow God to live his life within us, the more we become reflections of Christ for those around us. That is the beautiful simplicity of living in the divine will. Let us pray. Lord Jesus, I place myself completely into your loving hands. Quiet every fear that unsettles my heart, and remove every obstacle that keeps me from trusting you completely. Teach me to welcome your holy will in every circumstance, whether joyful or difficult. May I seek your glory before my own comfort, and your wisdom before my own understanding. Help me remember throughout this day to simply say Let Jesus do, allowing you to think in me, speak in me, work in me, and love through me. Transform every ordinary moment into an offering of praise to the Father, so that your kingdom may grow within my heart and spread through my life. I entrust myself entirely to you. Amen.
