"Your Faith Anew!"
Your Faith Anew! exists to help souls grow in their knowledge of the Catholic Faith, strive to remain in a state of grace, and encounter the transforming joy of the Gospel. Its mission is simple yet eternal: to save souls, glorify God, and become saints.
Hosted by David Russell, this daily reflection podcast draws deeply from Sacred Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and the writings of the Servant of God, Luisa Piccarreta—especially The Book of Heaven—guiding listeners into a deeper understanding of living in the Divine Will.
David is the author of four spiritually rich works: Magi Theology: The Essence of Illusion, The Little Magician – Discovers Bigger and Better, Our Pilgrimage with the Pilgrim Virgin, and his newest release, Our Mother in the Divine Will. With a lifelong fascination for the mystical, David discovered a profound connection between the art of illusion and deeper spiritual realities—an insight that inspired both his theological and children’s writings. His work Magi Theology received both the Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur from the Diocese of Knoxville.
In 2010, David was introduced to the writings of Luisa Piccarreta, which deeply resonated with his own spiritual insights. This encounter helped shape the foundation of his ministry.
In 2017, he founded the Your Faith Anew! prayer and study group to help Catholics rediscover and fall in love with their Faith. At the heart of his message is this conviction:
“The Catholic Faith prepares us to receive the Gift of Living in the Divine Will—and this Gift enables us to live our Faith in a divine manner most pleasing to God.”
Join us daily as we seek not only to understand our Faith—but to live it fully, joyfully, and in union with the Divine Will.

Luisa writes,
I was all worried about my miserable state, especially that it might no longer be Will of God, and I considered my scarce suffering and His continuous privation a sure sign of this. Now, while I was wearing out my little brain over this and I struggled to snap out of it, my always good Jesus made Himself seen like a flash, saying to me: “My daughter, what do you want Me to do? Tell Me – I will do what you want.” At such an unexpected proposal, I did not know what to say; I felt such confusion over the fact that blessed Jesus would have to do what I wanted - while it is I who must do what He wants - that I remained mute. So, seeing that I was not saying anything, He escaped like a flash, and I, running after that light, found myself outside of myself. But I did not find Him, so I wandered around the earth, the heavens, the stars, calling Him now with my voice, now with my singing, thinking to myself that on hearing my voice and my singing blessed Jesus would be wounded and I would find Him with certainty.
Now, while wandering around, I saw the cruel torment that continues in the war of China – churches knocked down, images of Our Lord thrown to the ground… And this is nothing yet. That which frightened me the most was to see that if now this is done by barbarians, by secular, later it will be done by false religious who, removing their masks and letting themselves be known for who they are, uniting with the open enemies of the Church, will launch such an attack as to be incredible to the human mind. Oh, how many more cruel torments! It seems that they have sworn among themselves to end it with the Church. But the Lord will take revenge over them by destroying them; so, blood on one side, and blood on the other.
Then I found myself inside a garden which seemed to be the Church, and inside of it there was a crowd of people in the appearance of dragons, of vipers and of other raging beasts, which devastated that garden, and then went outside, forming the ruin of the peoples. Now, while I was seeing this, I found my beloved Lord in my arms, and I said: ‘Finally You have let Yourself be found. Are You really my dear Jesus?’ And He: “Yes, yes, I am your Jesus.” And I wanted to tell Him to spare so many people, but He, not paying attention to me in this, all afflicted, added: “My daughter, I am quite tired; let us go into your bed to rest if you want Me to remain with you.” And I, fearing that He might leave, kept silent, allowing Him to fall asleep. Then, after a little while, He reentered into my interior, leaving me reassured, yes, but highly afflicted.

SPEAKER_01Welcome. This is David Russell and Your Faith Anew, Daily Reflections Guiding You to Live in the Divine Will. Today's reflection is from the Book of Heaven by the servant of God Louisa Picaretta, july twenty seventh, nineteen hundred, volume three. Let us begin in the will and name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Heavenly Father, I enter into your divine will and place before you every concern that weighs on my heart. When my thoughts become restless and my understanding falls short, teach me to trust more than I analyze. Let me seek your will above my own explanations, your peace above my own certainty, and your presence above every consolation. Grant me the grace to become a place where your love may dwell and where your kingdom may quietly reign. May every thought, word and action today bring glory to you and help prepare the triumph of your divine will in every soul. Amen. A reading from the letter of Saint Paul to the Romans, chapter eight, verse twenty eight. We know that all things work for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches in Paragraph six hundred seventy seven. The Church will enter the glory of the kingdom only through this final Passover, when she will follow her Lord in his death and resurrection. The kingdom will be fulfilled, then not by a historic triumph of the church through a progressive ascendancy, but only by God's victory over the final unleashing of evil, which will cause his bride to come down from heaven. God's triumph over the revolt of evil will take the form of the last judgment after the final cosmic upheaval of this passing world. May today's reading remind us that God invites us to remain steadfast in faith even when his plans unfold beyond our immediate understanding. Louisa writes I was all worried about my miserable state, especially that it might no longer be will of God, and I considered my scarce suffering and his continuous privation a sure sign of this. Let us go into your bed to rest if you want me to remain with you. And I, fearing that he might leave, kept silent, allowing him to fall asleep. Then, after a little while, he reentered into my interior, leaving me reassured yes, but highly afflicted. Every generation of Christians has lived through moments that seemed uncertain, confusing, or even frightening. History minds us that darkness has often appeared to gain ground, yet the church continues because Christ Himself remains her head. The faithful are never called to predict every future event or solve every mystery. We are called to persevere. One of the greatest temptations in the spiritual life is believing that our peace depends upon understanding everything God is doing. We want explanations, timeliness and assurances. Yet the Lord more often offers us something greater than explanations. He offers Himself. Living in the divine will teaches us to exchange anxious control for confident surrender. When we allow our minds to become consumed with what if or why? Our attention gradually shifts from God's faithfulness to our own limitations. The divine will gently redirects our gaze. It reminds us that the Father has never ceased governing creation, even when the world appears chaotic. This surrender is not passive resignation. It's an active act of faith. It's choosing to continue praying, loving, forgiving, serving, and hoping precisely because God remains Lord of history. The saints did not become saints because their circumstances were easy. They became saints because they trusted the one who was guiding every circumstance toward his greater glory. Our own daily lives present countless opportunities to practice this trust. Family struggles, illness, disappointments, confusion within society, and concern about the future can either become burdens that crush us or invitations to deeper abandonment. The difference is whether we insist on carrying them ourselves or whether we let Jesus do. Those three simple words are more than a slogan. They express the heart of living in the divine will. Let Jesus love through you. Let Jesus forgive through you. Let Jesus endure through you. Let Jesus bring peace where fear seeks to enter. When Christ reigns within us, we become instruments of his peace in a restless world. Others may be shaken by uncertainty, but a soul resting in God's will quietly proclaims that the Lord is still in command. Such a soul becomes a witness that hope is stronger than fear. Faith is greater than doubt, and love will always outlast darkness. Today instead of asking God to reveal every answer, ask him to deepen your trust. The future belongs to him. Your task is simply to remain faithful today. That's where holiness is found. That's where peace begins, and that's is where the kingdom of the divine will continues to grow. Let us pray. Lord Jesus, I enter into your divine will and place every fear, every unanswered question and every uncertainty into your sacred heart. Teach me to trust your providence even when I cannot see the road ahead. Let your peace guard my heart and your wisdom direct my every choice. Make my life a witness that hope is never defeated because you are always present. Pray within me, work within me, and love within me so that your will may become the life of my soul. May every act of this day help bring your kingdom to every heart and give glory to the Father forever. Amen. Thank you for joining your faith anew today. Until tomorrow, stay in his will, and your faith will be made anew.
