Welcome. This is David Russell and Your Faith Anew, Daily Reflections Guiding You to Live in the Divine Will. Today's reflection is from the Book of Heaven by the servant of God Louisa Picaretta, july twenty ninth, nineteen oh four, volume six. Let us begin in the will and name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Heavenly Father, deepen within us a faith that is alive because it rests completely in you. When uncertainty clouds our vision, remind us that your providence never fails. Teach us to surrender every fear, every plan, and every burden into your loving hands. May your divine will become the place where we find our peace, our courage, and our confidence, so that our lives may bear lasting fruit for your glory. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen. A reading from the letter of Saint Paul to the Hebrews chapter eleven verses one to six. Faith is the realization of what is hoped for and evidence of things not seen. Because of it the ancients were well attested. By faith we understand that the universe was ordered by the word of God, so that what is visible came into being through the invisible. By faith Abel offered to God a sacrifice greater than Cain's. Through this he was attested to be righteous, God bearing witness to his gifts, and through this, though dead, he still speaks. By faith Enoch was taken up so that he should not see death, and he was found no more because God had taken him. Before he was taken up, he was attested to have pleased God. But without faith it is impossible to please him, for anyone who approaches God must believe that he exists, and that he rewards those who seek him. The catechism of the Catholic Church teaches in paragraph twenty ninety. When God reveals himself and calls him, man cannot fully respond to the divine love by his own powers. He must hope that God will give him the capacity to love him in return and to act in conformity with the commandments of charity. Hope is the confident expectation of divine blessing and the beatific vision of God. It is also the fear of offending God's love and of incurring punishment. Today, we're invited to discover how confident trust allows faith to blossom into a living relationship with God. Louisa writes. So without trust, faith is sterile, and even though faith possesses immense riches with which the soul can enrich himself, if there is no trust, she remains always poor and lacking in everything. While he was saying this, I felt myself being drawn into God, and I remained absorbed in him like a little drop of water in the immense sea. As much as I looked, I could find no boundaries, either of height or of breadth. Heaven and earth blessed and pilgrim souls all were immersed in God. I could also see wars like that between Russia and Japan, the thousands of soldiers who were dying and will die, and that by justice also natural the victory will be of Japan. And I saw that other European nations are plotting machinations of war against nations of Europe. But who can say all that I could see of God and in God? So to end it, I stop here. Many people sincerely believe in God, yet still carry the weight of constant anxiety. They pray, but then immediately begin searching for their own solutions. They ask for God's help while quietly assuming everything depends upon their own strength. This is a struggle familiar to every Christian. Faith opens our eyes to who God is. Trust places our lives into His hands. Living in the divine will calls us beyond merely acknowledging God's greatness. It invites us to rest in His goodness. Every day presents opportunities to make that choice. A delayed answer to prayer, an unexpected hardship, a difficult relationship or uncertainty about tomorrow all become moments where we decide whether we will lean on ourselves or lean on the Lord. Trust is not pretending difficulties don't exist. Trust is believing that God is already present within them. It's the quiet confidence that nothing escapes his loving providence, and that he is capable of bringing greater good from circumstances we cannot understand. This is why surrender is so essential to living in the divine will. When we continually offer our own plans, expectations and fears to the Father, we make room for his perfect designs. Instead of asking why is this happening? We begin asking, Lord, how do you desire to glorify yourself through this? That simple change shifts everything. The enemy delights in filling our minds with worry because worry keeps our attention fixed on ourselves. Trust turns our gaze back to God. It reminds us that His wisdom is greater than our understanding and His timing is always perfect. Perhaps today the Lord is asking us to release something we have been carrying far too long a family concern, a financial burden, a health challenge, a future we cannot control. Rather than clinging tightly to it, place it into his hands once again. Every act of trust becomes another step into the freedom of the divine will. And as trust grows, fear loses its grip. Peace fills the heart, and our lives become quiet witnesses that God is always worthy of our confidence. Let us pray. Heavenly Father, I place my life completely into your hands. Increase my faith whenever it grows weak, and strengthen my trust whenever fear begins to speak louder than hope. Help me to surrender every concern into your divine will, believing that you are working for my good even when I cannot see the path ahead. Teach me to let go of my own control and to joyfully say Let Jesus do. May every thought, word, action, and suffering become an act of confidence in your loving providence. Draw me ever deeper into your divine will, so that your peace may reign within me, and your kingdom may reign through me. Amen. Thank you for joining your faith anew today.
