Welcome. This is David Russell and your faith anew, daily reflections guiding you to live in the divine will. Today's reflection is from the Book of Heaven by the servant of God Louisa Picaretta, august second, eighteen ninety nine, volume two. Let us begin in the will and name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Heavenly Father, every good gift begins with you and returns to you. Open our hearts today to recognize the countless ways you draw near to us through grace. Remove whatever keeps us distant from your loving presence, and teach us to welcome you with humility, gratitude, and faithful obedience. May every thought, word and action become an invitation for your divine will to reign more fully within us. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen. A reading from the letter of Saint Paul to the Hebrews, chapter three, verse fifteen. For it is said O that today you would hear his voice. Harden not your hearts as at the rebellion. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches in Paragraph two thousand and one The preparation of man for the reception of grace is already a work of grace. This latter is needed to arouse and sustain our collaboration in justification through faith and in sanctification through charity. God brings to completion in us what He has begun, since he who completes his work by cooperating with our will began by working so that we might will it. As we prepare to hear today's Book of Heaven entry, let us consider how every grace God gives invites us into a deeper relationship with Him. Louisa writes This morning my adorable Jesus made himself seen all afflicted and almost angry with men, threatening to send the usual chastisements and to make people die suddenly under lightnings, hail and fire. I prayed him very much to placate himself, and Jesus told me The iniquities that rise from the earth to heaven are so many that if prayer and souls who are victims before me were missing for a quarter of an hour, I would make fire come out of the earth and inundate the people. Then he added, See how many graces I was supposed to pour over the creatures, but since I find no correspondence, I am forced to hold them back within myself. Even more they make me change them into chastisement. Be careful you, O my daughter, to correspond to me in the so many graces I am pouring into you, because correspondence is the open door to let me enter into the heart and form my residence in it. Correspondence is like that good welcome, that esteem, which is used with people when they come to visit us, in such a way that drawn by that respect, by those affable manners used with them, they are forced to come again, and reach the point of not being able to detach themselves. Everything is in corresponding to me, and according to how souls correspond to me and treat me on earth, so will I behave with them in heaven, making them find the doors open. I will invite the whole celestial court to welcome them, and I will place them on the most sublime throne. But it will be all the opposite for those who do not correspond to me. God never forces himself upon the human heart. Love always invites, never compels. Every grace we receive is an opportunity to respond, and every response becomes another step toward greater intimacy with Him. Think about the relationships that have shaped your life. They did not grow because of one grand gesture, but because of many small acts of attention, appreciation, and fidelity. The same is true in our spiritual life. God continually offers opportunities to grow in holiness through ordinary moments, a quiet prayer before beginning the day, patience during an inconvenience, forgiveness when wounded, gratitude for an unexpected blessing or a simple yes to a duty we would rather avoid. Living in the divine will teaches us that these ordinary moments are never ordinary when united to Jesus. They become places where heaven touches earth. Every act done in God's will becomes an act that He Himself can repeat throughout creation for His glory and for the good of souls. Often we ask God for greater signs, greater blessings, or greater clarity. Yet He's already speaking through the graces that surround us each day. The question is not whether God is present. The question is whether we are attentive enough to recognize Him and generous enough to answer Him. This is why the simple phrase Let Jesus do is so powerful. It reminds us to stop relying solely on our own strength and instead allow Christ to accomplish His work within us. The more we surrender our own will, the more room there is for His divine life to flourish. May today become another opportunity to open the door just a little wider, trusting that every faithful response allows the divine will to shape us ever more perfectly into the image of Christ. Let us pray. Lord Jesus, thank you for every grace you've poured into my life, both seen and unseen. Give me a heart that is quick to respond whenever you call. Help me to welcome you in every circumstance, whether joyful or difficult. Teach me to choose faithfulness in the little things, knowing that nothing offered in your divine will is ever wasted. May my life become a continual invitation for you to dwell within me, bringing your light, your peace, and your love to everyone I encounter. Jesus, I surrender my will to yours. Let Jesus do in me whatever brings the greatest glory to the Father, the salvation of souls, and the coming of the kingdom of the divine will on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.
