Your Faith Anew! exists to help souls grow in their knowledge of the Catholic Faith, strive to remain in a state of grace, and encounter the transforming joy of the Gospel. Its mission is simple yet eternal: to save souls, glorify God, and become saints.
Hosted by David Russell, this daily reflection podcast draws deeply from Sacred Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and the writings of the Servant of God, Luisa Piccarreta—especially The Book of Heaven—guiding listeners into a deeper understanding of living in the Divine Will.
David is the author of four spiritually rich works: Magi Theology: The Essence of Illusion, The Little Magician – Discovers Bigger and Better, Our Pilgrimage with the Pilgrim Virgin, and his newest release, Our Mother in the Divine Will. With a lifelong fascination for the mystical, David discovered a profound connection between the art of illusion and deeper spiritual realities—an insight that inspired both his theological and children’s writings. His work Magi Theology received both the Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur from the Diocese of Knoxville.
In 2010, David was introduced to the writings of Luisa Piccarreta, which deeply resonated with his own spiritual insights. This encounter helped shape the foundation of his ministry.
In 2017, he founded the Your Faith Anew! prayer and study group to help Catholics rediscover and fall in love with their Faith. At the heart of his message is this conviction:
“The Catholic Faith prepares us to receive the Gift of Living in the Divine Will—and this Gift enables us to live our Faith in a divine manner most pleasing to God.”

Luisa writes,
As I was in my usual state, I was longing and searching for my loving Jesus. Then, after I waited for Him for a long time, He came and told me: “My daughter, why do you look for Me outside of yourself, while you could find Me more easily within yourself? When you want to find Me, enter into yourself, go deep into your ‘nothing’, and there, without yourself, in the most tiny circle of your ‘nothing’, you will see the foundations that the Divine Being laid within you, as well as the factories It raised in you. Look and see.”
I looked again and I saw solid foundations and very high walls that reached up to the heavens; but that which stupefied me was to see that the Lord had done this beautiful work upon my nothing, and the walls were all walled up, with no openings. One could see only one opening in the vault, which corresponded only to Heaven, and in this opening dwelled Our Lord, upon a stable column that rose out of the foundations, formed over nothing. Now, while I was looking, all stupefied, blessed Jesus added: “The foundations formed over nothing mean that the Divine Hand operates there where there is nothing, and It never mixes Its works with material works. The walls without openings around mean that the soul must have no correspondence with earthly things, in such a way that there may be no danger that even a little bit of dust may enter, because everything is walled up well. The only correspondence that these walls allow is with Heaven – that is, from nothing to Heaven, from Heaven to nothing; and this is the meaning of the opening made in the vault. The stability of the column means that the soul is so stable in good that there is no contrary wind that can move her. And my dwelling upon it is the sure sign that the work done is fully divine.”
Who can say what I understood about this? But my mind gets lost and is unable to say anything. May the Lord be always blessed, and may everything be for His glory and honor.

Today's reflection is from the Book of Heaven by the servant of God Louisa Picaretta, august third, nineteen hundred, volume three. Let us begin in the will and name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Heavenly Father, draw us away from every distraction that competes for our attention, and teach us to seek you with sincere hearts. Quiet the noise within us, so that we may recognize your loving presence and welcome the action of your divine will into every thought, word and deed. Empty us of selfishness, strengthen us in virtue, and make our hearts a place where you are honored and glorified through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen. A reading from the gospel according to John chapter fourteen verse twenty three. Jesus answered and said to him, Whoever loves me will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our dwelling with him. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches in paragraph twenty five sixty three. The heart is the dwelling place where I am, where I live. According to the Semitic or Biblical expression, the heart is the place to which I withdraw. The heart is our hidden center beyond the grasp of our reason and of others. Only the Spirit of God can fathom the human heart and know it fully. The heart is the place of decision, deeper than our psychic drives. It is the place of truth, where we choose life or death. It is the place of encounter because as image of God we live in relation. It is the place of covenant. May today's Book of Heaven reading inspire us to discover that the deepest work of grace begins when we allow God to transform the interior life. Many people spend their lives searching for peace in changing circumstances. We often believe that if our schedule became easier, our finances stronger, or our relationships smoother, then our souls would finally rest. Yet God continually invites us to begin somewhere entirely different. He begins his greatest work within the heart that is willing to belong completely to him. The spiritual life is not built merely by increasing religious activity. It's formed by allowing God to shape us from the inside out every act of humility, every quiet surrender, every hidden sacrifice offered in love becomes another opportunity for grace to strengthen what cannot be seen by the world. When the interior life is healthy, the exterior life gradually follows. Living in the divine will calls us to cultivate this interior communion with God throughout the ordinary moments of the day. While driving, working, praying, speaking with family, or carrying unexpected burdens. We can continually invite Jesus to think in our thoughts, love in our hearts, and act through our hands. Holiness is not reserved for extraordinary moments. It grows through thousands of hidden acts of faithful love. Today, take a few moments of silence before beginning your work. Invite Jesus into the ordinary tasks ahead. Ask him to reign over your thoughts before you speak, over your choices before you act, and over your heart before you respond to others. Doing so, you become more receptive to his grace, and your entire day becomes an offering for the glory of the Father, the salvation of all souls, and the coming of his kingdom. Let us pray. Lord Jesus, I surrender to you every corner of my heart. Remove whatever keeps me from loving you with an undivided will. Fill my mind with your truth, my heart with your charity, and my soul with your peace. May every action today become an act united with your divine will for the glory of the Father. Teach me to seek you before I seek solutions, to trust you before I trust myself, and to love as you love. Strengthen me to remain faithful in the hidden moments where true holiness is formed. May my life become a continual invitation for you to live, reign, and act within me. Amen. Thank you for joining your faith anew today.
