Welcome. This is David Russell and Your Faith Anew, Daily Reflections Guiding You to Live in the Divine Will. Today's reflection is from the Book of Heaven by the servant of God Louisa Picaretta, august fourth, nineteen oh four, volume six. Let us begin in the will and name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Heavenly Father, you have created us for eternal communion with you, and have filled every moment of our lives with opportunities to grow in love. Grant us the grace to recognize that no act performed in your divine will is ever wasted. Help us to choose faith over fear, generosity over selfishness, and trust over anxiety. May every prayer, every sacrifice, every hidden act of kindness, and every duty faithfully fulfilled become an offering of love that gives you glory now and forever. Teach us to abandon ourselves completely to your providence, allowing Jesus to live and act within us. May your Holy Spirit guide our hearts today so that all we do may contribute to the coming of your kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. Amen. A reading from the letter of Saint Paul to the Colossians, chapter three, verses twenty three and twenty four. Whatever you do, do from the heart, as for the Lord and not for others. Knowing that you will receive from the Lord the due payment of the inheritance. Be slaves of the Lord Christ. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches in Paragraph ten twenty nine. In the glory of heaven, the blessed continue joyfully to fulfill God's will in relation to other men and to all creation. Already they reign with Christ. With him they shall reign forever and ever. With hearts open to the Holy Spirit, let us now hear today's passage from the Book of Heaven. Louisa writes This morning, when blessed Jesus came he transported me outside of myself, and taking me by the hand, he led me as far as underneath the vault of the heavens, from where one could see the blessed and hear their chanting. Oh how the blessed were swimming in God. One could see their lives in God, and the life of God in them. This alone seems to me to be the whole essence of their happiness. It also seems to me that each blessed is a new heaven in that blessed dwelling, but all distinct among themselves. There is no one similar to anyone else, and this happens according to the ways in which they comported themselves with God on earth. One tried to love him more. He will love him more in heaven, and will receive from God ever new and increasing love, in such a way that this heaven will have a divine shade and feature all special. Another tried to glorify him more, and blessed God will give him ever increasing glory, in such a way that this new heaven will be more glorious and glorified by the very divine glory, and so with all the other distinct ways that each one had with God on earth, such that if I wanted to say everything, I would be too long. So it can be said that what we do for God on earth we shall continue in heaven, but with greater perfection. Therefore, the good we do is not temporary, but will last for eternity and will shine before God and around us continuously. Oh how happy we will be in seeing all that are good and the glory we give to God, as well as our own, comes from that little bit of good that we started imperfectly on earth. If all could see this, oh how they would hasten more to love, to praise, to thank and other things the Lord, so as to be able to do it with greater intensity in heaven. But who can say everything? Rather, it seems to me that I am speaking much nonsense about that blessed dwelling place. My mind has it in one way, but my mouth cannot find the words to manifest it. Therefore I move on. Then, afterwards, he transported me to earth. Oh how horrifying are the troubles of the earth in these sad times. Yet it seems that this is still nothing compared to what will come, both in the religious state, so much so that it seems that the church, this good and holy mother, will be torn to shreds by her very children, and the secular state. Then, after this he took me back into myself and told me Tell me a little bit, my daughter, how am I for you? And I everything. You are everything for me. Nothing enters into me. Everything flows outside but you alone and he and I am all for you. Nothing of you goes out of me, but I delight all of myself in you. So from the very way I am for you, you can see how you are for me. Having said this, he disappeared. One of the greatest temptations in the spiritual life is to believe that small acts of faithfulness make little difference. We often measure success by visible results, immediate progress or recognition from others. Yet God measures differently. He looks upon the love with which an action is performed. Living in the divine will changes our perspective entirely. Instead of asking whether our efforts seem important, we begin asking whether they are united to God's will. A hidden prayer offered with love, a patient response during a difficult conversation, a quiet act of forgiveness or faithfully carrying out an ordinary responsibility can become part of God's eternal plan. That realization fills even the smallest moments with extraordinary meaning. Nothing entrusted to God is ever insignificant. Every opportunity to love becomes an invitation to participate in his own life. This also gives us tremendous hope when we encounter suffering or uncertainty. We may not understand why certain trials are permitted, but we can always choose how we respond. If we surrender those moments into God's hands, He transforms them into opportunities for greater holiness. The world may overlook such sacrifices, but heaven never does. Living in the divine will also frees us from constantly evaluating ourselves. We no longer need to keep score of accomplishments or compare ourselves with others. Instead, we simply remain faithful to the next grace God places before us. The goal is not greatness according to the world standards, but complete availability to God's love. Every act done in union with God's divine will becomes a seed of eternity. And while we may never fully appreciate its beauty in this life, one day we will see that every loving yes offered to God has become part of his everlasting glory. Let us pray. Heavenly Father, thank you for filling our ordinary lives with extraordinary opportunities to love you. Teach us never to underestimate the value of a faithful heart. Help us to embrace each duty, each sacrifice, and each moment of prayer as a gift we can return to you. Jesus, live your life within us so completely that our thoughts become your thoughts, our words become your words, and our actions become expressions of your perfect love. May we never grow discouraged by what seems small or hidden, but trust that you are accomplishing eternal things through every act surrender to your divine will. Give us persevering hearts, joyful spirits, and unwavering confidence in your providence. May all we do today bring glory to the Father, unite us more deeply with you, and hasten the coming of your kingdom. Amen. Thank you for joining your faith anew today.
