Your Faith Anew! exists to help souls grow in their knowledge of the Catholic Faith, strive to remain in a state of grace, and encounter the transforming joy of the Gospel. Its mission is simple yet eternal: to save souls, glorify God, and become saints.

Hosted by David Russell, this daily reflection podcast draws deeply from Sacred Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and the writings of the Servant of God, Luisa Piccarreta—especially The Book of Heaven—guiding listeners into a deeper understanding of living in the Divine Will.

David is the author of four spiritually rich works: Magi Theology: The Essence of Illusion, The Little Magician – Discovers Bigger and Better, Our Pilgrimage with the Pilgrim Virgin, and his newest release, Our Mother in the Divine Will. With a lifelong fascination for the mystical, David discovered a profound connection between the art of illusion and deeper spiritual realities—an insight that inspired both his theological and children’s writings. His work Magi Theology received both the Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur from the Diocese of Knoxville.

In 2010, David was introduced to the writings of Luisa Piccarreta, which deeply resonated with his own spiritual insights. This encounter helped shape the foundation of his ministry.

In 2017, he founded the Your Faith Anew! prayer and study group to help Catholics rediscover and fall in love with their Faith. At the heart of his message is this conviction:

“The Catholic Faith prepares us to receive the Gift of Living in the Divine Will—and this Gift enables us to live our Faith in a divine manner most pleasing to God.”

Luisa writes,

After having spent two days of sufferings, my benign Jesus showed Himself all affability and sweetness. In my interior I kept saying: ‘How good the Lord is with me; yet, I find nothing in me that might please Him.’ And Jesus, answering me, told me: “My beloved, just as you find no other pleasure and contentment than being with Me, conversing with Me, and pleasing Me alone, in such a way that all other things that are not Mine are disgusting for you, in the same way, my pleasure and my consolation is to come and be with you, and speak with you. You cannot comprehend the power that a soul who has the sole purpose of pleasing Me alone has over my Heart, in drawing me to herself. I feel so bound to her, that I am forced to do what she wants.”

While Jesus was saying this, I understood that He was speaking in that way because during the past days, while suffering most bitter pains, I kept saying in my interior: ‘My Jesus, everything for love of You. May these pains be as many acts of praise, of honor, of homage that I offer You. May these pains be as many voices that glorify You, and as many proofs that tell you that I love You.’

Welcome, this is David Russell and your faith anew, daily reflections guiding you to live in the divine will. Today's reflection is from the Book of Heaven by the servant of God Louisa Picaretta, august twenty first, eighteen ninety nine, volume two. Let us begin in the will and name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Heavenly Father, thank you for creating us to know you, love you, and belong completely to you. Purify our intentions so that every thought, word and action may be offered for your glory alone. Remove every divided affection that keeps us from loving you with our whole heart. Through the grace of your divine will, teach us to discover that our greatest joy is found not in what we possess, but in belonging entirely to you. May our lives become a continual offering of love, bringing consolation to the heart of Christ, and drawing others closer to His kingdom. We ask this through Christ our Lord, amen. A reading from the Gospel according to Matthew chapter six, verse thirty three. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given you besides. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches in Paragraph nine oh one Hence the laity, dedicated as they are to Christ and anointed by the Holy Spirit, are marvelously called and prepared so that even richer fruits of the Spirit may be produced in them. For all their works, prayers and apostolic undertakings, family and married life, daily work, relaxation of mind and body, if they are accomplished in the Spirit. Indeed, even the hardships of life have patiently borne, all these become spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. In the celebration of the Eucharist, these may most fittingly be offered to the Father along with the body of the Lord. And so worshiping everywhere by their holy actions, the laity consecrate the world itself to God, everywhere offering worship by the holiness of their lives. As we listen to today's Book of Heaven reading, let us open our hearts to the transforming power of offering every moment of life with a single desire to glorify God. One of the greatest challenges in the spiritual life is not simply doing good things, but doing them for the right reason. It's possible to fill our days with activity while allowing our hearts to become scattered among countless lesser pursuits. Yet the saints remind us that holiness is not measured first by the quantity of our works, but by the purity of the love that inspires them. Living in the divine will invites us into this simplicity of heart. Instead of asking, what extraordinary thing can I accomplish today? We begin asking how can I allow Jesus to live this ordinary moment within me? Washing dishes, driving to work, caring for family, praying quietly, enduring disappointments, or speaking a kind word. All of these become opportunities for divine life when united to God's will. A heart that seeks only God's glory gradually becomes free. It's less disturbed by praise because it's not seeking recognition. It's less wounded by criticism because its identity rests in God rather than in human approval. Success no longer inflates it, nor does failure define it. Peace begins to replace anxiety because the soul understands that faithfulness is more important than visible results. This is the freedom Jesus desires for each of us. He longs for children whose greatest delight is simply to remain close to Him. Such a relationship is not billed upon extraordinary mystical experiences, but upon countless hidden acts of trust renewed throughout the day. Every sincere yes to his will becomes another opening through which his own divine life flows into the world. When we intentionally place each action into the divine will, our smallest sacrifices are no longer isolated moments passing away in time. They become united with Christ's eternal offering to the Father. What appears insignificant on earth can bear fruit far beyond what we are capable of seeing. Today, let's examine the intention behind our actions. Before beginning each task, pause for a moment and simply say, Father, may this be for your glory. That quiet act of surrender may seem small, but in the divine will it becomes an invitation for heaven to touch earth. The more our hearts become undivided, the more we discover that true joy is not something we create, it is someone who comes to dwell within us. Let us pray. Lord Jesus, I place my heart into yours. Purify every intention that does not lead me closer to you. Free me from seeking my own glory, comfort, or recognition, and teach me to desire only what pleases the Father. May every prayer, every conversation, every sacrifice, every joy, and every hidden duty become united with your eternal act of love. Let my ordinary life become extraordinary because it is lived in your divine will. Fill me with steadfast peace, unwavering trust, and generous love so that your kingdom may grow within me and through me for the salvation of souls. I surrender this day completely into your hands. Amen. Thank you for joining your faith anew today. Until tomorrow, stay in his will, and your faith will be made anew.
