Welcome, this is David Russell and Your Faith Anew, Daily Reflections Guiding You to Live in the Divine Will. Today's reflection is from the Book of Heaven by the servant of God Louisa Picaretta, august eighth, eighteen ninety nine, volume two. Let us begin in the will and name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Heavenly Father, in every circumstance of this day, draw my heart closer to yours. When life unfolds according to my hopes, keep me humble and grateful. When unexpected trials arise, keep me faithful and trusting. Teach me to surrender every thought, every desire, and every burden into your loving hands. May your divine will become the place where my soul finds lasting peace, where fear loses its voice, and where love grows stronger than every difficulty. Through Jesus Christ our Lord, amen. A reading from the letter of Saint Paul to the Philippians, chapter four verses six and seven Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving. Make your request known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches in Paragraph nine hundred oh eight By His obedience unto death, Christ communicated to His disciples the gift of royal freedom, so that they might be, by the self abnignation of a holy life, overcome the reign of sin in themselves. Before we hear today's passage from the Book of Heaven, let us prepare our hearts to discover how true peace is born through complete trust in God. Louisa writes He continues to make himself seen for just a little and almost angry with men. As much as I prayed him to pour his bitternesses into me, it was impossible, and without paying attention to what I was saying to him, he told me Resignation absorbs all that can be painful and disgusting to one's nature and renders it sweet. And since my being is peaceful and tranquil in such a way that no matter what may happen in heaven or on earth, it cannot receive the slightest breath of disturbance. Resignation has the virtue of grafting these very virtues of mine into the soul. A resigned soul is always at rest, and not only herself, but she also allows me to rest peacefully within her. Every human heart longs for peace, yet so often we search for it in circumstances that constantly change. We believe peace will come when problems disappear, when relationships improve, when finances stabilize, or when our plans finally unfold as expected. But sooner or later another challenge appears, reminding us that external conditions can never become the foundation of lasting serenity. The peace Christ offers is altogether different. It's not the absence of difficulty, but the presence of God reigning within us. When our hearts become united with His divine will, we begin to discover that no event has the power to separate us from His loving providence. Even painful moments become opportunities to love, to trust and to grow. Living in the divine will does not remove us from ordinary life. We still encounter disappointments, misunderstandings, sickness and uncertainty. Yet these experiences no longer define us. Instead, they become invitations to make one simple interior act. Father, I receive this moment from your hands, and I choose to love you here. That act of surrender is never passive. It's an active cooperation with grace. It frees us from wasting precious energy resisting what cannot be changed and opens our hearts to discover what God desires to accomplish through the present moment. We stop asking why is this happening? And begin asking, Lord, how can I glorify you through this? This is especially important in our families, workplaces, and ministries. We can't always control the attitudes of others, but we can choose the spirit with which we respond. A peaceful soul often becomes God's instrument for calming anxious hearts. Quiet confidence speaks more powerfully than many words. Others begin to notice a stability that does not come from personality or self discipline, but from a life anchored in God. Today, let us practice making frequent acts of surrender before answering a difficult conversation. Pause and offer your response to the Lord. Before worrying about tomorrow, place it into his eternal care. Before becoming discouraged, remember that every moment entrusted to God becomes part of his saving work. When we live this way, our souls become places where Christ is welcomed, honored, and allowed to continue his work of renewing the world through ordinary lives transformed by extraordinary trust. Let us pray. Lord Jesus, I place my entire day into your divine will. Receive my thoughts, words, actions, joys and sufferings as an offering of love to the Father. Teach me to surrender without fear, to trust without hesitation, and to remain faithful whether the path is easy or difficult. Let your peace govern my heart so completely that I become a witness of hope to everyone I meet. May every circumstance draw me closer to you, and may every heartbeat proclaim that your will is enough for me. Through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I entrust myself completely to your loving plan, confident that you are leading me toward eternal union with you. Amen.
