Your Faith Anew! exists to help souls grow in their knowledge of the Catholic Faith, strive to remain in a state of grace, and encounter the transforming joy of the Gospel. Its mission is simple yet eternal: to save souls, glorify God, and become saints.

Hosted by David Russell, this daily reflection podcast draws deeply from Sacred Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and the writings of the Servant of God, Luisa Piccarreta—especially The Book of Heaven—guiding listeners into a deeper understanding of living in the Divine Will.

David is the author of four spiritually rich works: Magi Theology: The Essence of Illusion, The Little Magician – Discovers Bigger and Better, Our Pilgrimage with the Pilgrim Virgin, and his newest release, Our Mother in the Divine Will. With a lifelong fascination for the mystical, David discovered a profound connection between the art of illusion and deeper spiritual realities—an insight that inspired both his theological and children’s writings. His work Magi Theology received both the Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur from the Diocese of Knoxville.

In 2010, David was introduced to the writings of Luisa Piccarreta, which deeply resonated with his own spiritual insights. This encounter helped shape the foundation of his ministry.

In 2017, he founded the Your Faith Anew! prayer and study group to help Catholics rediscover and fall in love with their Faith. At the heart of his message is this conviction:

“The Catholic Faith prepares us to receive the Gift of Living in the Divine Will—and this Gift enables us to live our Faith in a divine manner most pleasing to God.”

Luisa writes,

This morning I went through a most bitter time, almost completely deprived of my blessed Jesus; only, I found myself outside of myself in the midst of wars, people killed, towns besieged, and it seemed that this was also in Italy. What fright I felt! I wanted to remove myself from scenes so sorrowful, but I could not – a supreme power kept me nailed. Whether it was an Angel or a Saint I am unable to tell with certainty, but someone said: “Poor Italy, how lacerated she will be by wars!” On hearing this, I remained more than frightened, and I found myself inside myself. Not having yet seen the One who is my life, and with all those scenes in my mind, I felt I was dying. Then, I just barely saw His arm, and He said to me: “There will be something in Italy for certain.”

Welcome. This is David Russell and Your Faith Anew Daily Reflections Guiding You to Live in the Divine Will. Today's reflection is from the Book of Heaven by the servant of God Louisa Picaretta, august twenty third, nineteen oh four, volume six. Let us begin in the will and name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Heavenly Father, in a world often shaken by uncertainty, teach us to remain anchored in your eternal love. When events around us stir anxiety or fear, remind us that nothing escapes your providence. Grant us the grace to place every concern into your divine will, trusting that your wisdom is greater than our understanding, and your mercy is stronger than every trial. May our hearts become places of peace where your presence reigns, and may our lives become witnesses that confidence in you is never misplaced. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen. A reading from the Gospel according to Matthew, chapter twenty four verses six through eight. You will hear of wars and reports of wars. See that you're not alarmed, for these things must happen, but it will not yet be the end. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes from place to place. All these are the beginning of the labor pains. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches in Paragraph three hundred fourteen We firmly believe that God is master of the world and of its history. But the ways of His providence are often unknown to us. Only at the end, when our partial knowledge ceases, when we see God face to face, will we fully know the ways by which, even through the dramas of evil and sin, God has guided His creation to that definitive Sabbath rest for which He created heaven and earth. As we listen to today's passage from the Book of Heaven, let us open our hearts to discover the peace that comes from trusting God's providence even when the future seems uncertain. A great temptation in every generation is to allow the troubles of the world to become greater in our minds than the presence of God. News reports, conflicts, disasters, economic uncertainty, and personal struggles can gradually convince us that fear is the most reasonable response. Yet the Lord continually invites his children to live differently. Living in the divine will doesn't mean pretending suffering does not exist. It means allowing God's unchanging peace to become stronger than our changing circumstances. The divine will teaches us to see history through the eyes of eternity. God is never surprised. Nothing unfolds outside his knowledge, and nothing can prevent his loving plan from reaching its fulfillment. When we surrender our human will, we stop trying to carry the weight of tomorrow. We become faithful in today's duties while entrusting tomorrow to the Father. This is not passive resignation, but active confidence. It frees the soul from constant agitation and allows it to become a source of hope for others. Every anxious thought can become an invitation to pray. Every troubling headline can become an opportunity to intercede for the world. Every uncertainty can become another act of trust offered to God. In this way, even the darkness around us becomes material for love, reparation, and confidence in the divine will. Jesus desires hearts that remain steady because they are rooted in him rather than in circumstances. Such souls become quiet lights in turbulent times. Their peace is not the result of favorable conditions, but of unwavering confidence that the Father governs all things with perfect wisdom. Today, let us ask for the grace to look beyond the noise of the world. Let us choose faith over fear, trust over anxiety, and surrender over control. When we remain in the divine will, we discover that while the world may tremble, the soul resting in God stands upon an unshakable foundation. Let us pray. Lord Jesus, I place into your sacred heart every fear that seeks to disturb my peace. Draw my thoughts away from discouragement and fix them upon your eternal promises. Help me to remember that your divine will governs every moment with perfect wisdom and infinite love. May I never allow uncertainty to steal the confidence that belongs to one who trusts completely in you. Make me an instrument of hope for those who are discouraged, a source of peace for those who are anxious, and a faithful witness that your providence never fails. May every beat of my heart proclaim Father, I trust in your divine will. Amen. Thank you for joining your faith anew today. Until tomorrow, stay in his will, and your faith will be made anew.
