Your Faith Anew! exists to help souls grow in their knowledge of the Catholic Faith, strive to remain in a state of grace, and encounter the transforming joy of the Gospel. Its mission is simple yet eternal: to save souls, glorify God, and become saints.
Hosted by David Russell, this daily reflection podcast draws deeply from Sacred Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and the writings of the Servant of God, Luisa Piccarreta—especially The Book of Heaven—guiding listeners into a deeper understanding of living in the Divine Will.
David is the author of four spiritually rich works: Magi Theology: The Essence of Illusion, The Little Magician – Discovers Bigger and Better, Our Pilgrimage with the Pilgrim Virgin, and his newest release, Our Mother in the Divine Will. With a lifelong fascination for the mystical, David discovered a profound connection between the art of illusion and deeper spiritual realities—an insight that inspired both his theological and children’s writings. His work Magi Theology received both the Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur from the Diocese of Knoxville.
In 2010, David was introduced to the writings of Luisa Piccarreta, which deeply resonated with his own spiritual insights. This encounter helped shape the foundation of his ministry.
In 2017, he founded the Your Faith Anew! prayer and study group to help Catholics rediscover and fall in love with their Faith. At the heart of his message is this conviction:
“The Catholic Faith prepares us to receive the Gift of Living in the Divine Will—and this Gift enables us to live our Faith in a divine manner most pleasing to God.”

August 9, 1900 – Volume 3
Luisa writes,
This morning my adorable Jesus was not coming, so I waited for a long time. Then He made Himself seen for just a little and told me: “Just as a musical instrument resounds pleasant to the hearing of one who listens to it, so do your desires, your waiting, your sighs, your tears resound to my hearing like a melody of the most pleasant. But so that it may descend more sweet and delightful, I want to teach you another way – that is, to desire Me not as your desire, but as my desire, because I greatly love to manifest Myself to you. In sum, everything you want and desire, you must want and desire because I want it – that is, taking it from within Me and making it your own. In this way your melody will be more delightful to my hearing, because it is a melody that has come out of Myself.”
Then He added: “Everything that comes from Me enters into Me. This is why men complain that they do not obtain easily what they ask for – because those are not things that come from Me; and not being things that come from Me, they cannot easily enter into Me and then come out to give themselves to them. In fact, what comes from Me and enters into Me is all that is holy, pure and celestial. Now, what is the wonder if audience is precluded to them since what they ask for is not so? Therefore, you - keep well in mind that all that comes from God enters into God.”
Who can say what I understood about these few words? But I have no words to be able to explain myself. Ah, Lord, give me the grace to ask for all that is holy, and that it be your desire and Will, so that You may communicate Yourself to me more abundantly.

Today's reflection is from the Book of Heaven by the servant of God Louisa Picaretta, august ninth, nineteen hundred, volume three. Let us begin in the will and name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Heavenly Father, place within our hearts a love that seeks only what pleases you. Purify our intentions, redirect our desires, and free us from every attachment that leads us away from your perfect plan. Teach us to welcome your inspirations with humility, to trust your providence with confidence, and to allow your divine will to shape every prayer, every decision, and every act of love. May our lives become a joyful offering that reflects your goodness and draws others closer to you. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen. A reading from the gospel according to John chapter fifteen verse seven. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask for whatever you want, and it will be done for you. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches in paragraph twenty eight twenty five In committing ourselves to Christ, we can become one spirit with him, and thereby accomplish his will in such ways that it will be perfect on earth as it is in heaven. Before listening to today's Book of Heaven passage, let us open our hearts to discover the freedom that comes when our deepest longings are united with the loving will of God. One of the greatest transformations in the spiritual life occurs when prayer changes from asking God to bless our plans into asking him to reveal his own. This is not a loss of freedom, but the discovery of its highest purpose. The human heart was created to find its fulfillment in communion with God, and that communion becomes deeper each time we allow His wisdom to shape our choices. Living in the divine will means gradually allowing God's priorities to become our own. Instead of measuring success by whether life unfolds according to our expectations, we begin measuring it by our fidelity to His love. Peace grows because our confidence no longer depends upon circumstances, but upon the certainty that the Father is always leading us toward what is eternally good. This also changes the way we pray for others. Rather than clinging to our preferred outcomes, we entrust every person and every situation to God's perfect wisdom. We still pray with great faith and perseverance, but we do so with hearts surrendered to the one who sees the beginning and the end. Such prayer is never passive. It is active trust. It believes that God's answer, whether immediate or delayed, visible or hidden, always serves a greater purpose than we can yet understand. Throughout the day, we have countless opportunities to practice this surrender before beginning a conversation, making a decision, answering an email, or facing an unexpected interruption. We can pause for a brief moment and pray, Father, let this be guided by your will. Those simple acts of recollection slowly reshape the soul. They loosen the grip of self interest and make room for divine charity. The saints remind us that holiness is not found in extraordinary achievements but in extraordinary union with God through ordinary moments. Every act offered in harmony with His will becomes part of His loving work in the world. Every hidden sacrifice, every patient response, every quiet act of fidelity carries eternal value when united to Him. Today, ask the Lord for the grace to desire first what he desires. When his will becomes the compass of your heart, your life acquires a new harmony. The soul no longer struggles to force its own path, but walks confidently with a good shepherd, knowing that every step taken with him leads toward everlasting joy. Let us pray. Lord Jesus, draw my heart ever closer to yours. Purify every desire that does not lead me to you, and strengthen every longing that brings me into deeper communion with the Father. In your divine will, teach me to seek your wisdom before my own understanding, your timing before my impatience, and your love before my preferences. May every prayer I offer, every word I speak, and every action I perform become an expression of your life within me. Help me to trust you completely, especially when I cannot yet see the path ahead. May my soul rest in the confidence that your will is always working for my sanctification, the salvation of souls, and the glory of the Father. Amen. Thank you for joining your faith anew today.
