Your Faith Anew! exists to help souls grow in their knowledge of the Catholic Faith, strive to remain in a state of grace, and encounter the transforming joy of the Gospel. Its mission is simple yet eternal: to save souls, glorify God, and become saints.

Hosted by David Russell, this daily reflection podcast draws deeply from Sacred Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and the writings of the Servant of God, Luisa Piccarreta—especially The Book of Heaven—guiding listeners into a deeper understanding of living in the Divine Will.

David is the author of four spiritually rich works: Magi Theology: The Essence of Illusion, The Little Magician – Discovers Bigger and Better, Our Pilgrimage with the Pilgrim Virgin, and his newest release, Our Mother in the Divine Will. With a lifelong fascination for the mystical, David discovered a profound connection between the art of illusion and deeper spiritual realities—an insight that inspired both his theological and children’s writings. His work Magi Theology received both the Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur from the Diocese of Knoxville.

In 2010, David was introduced to the writings of Luisa Piccarreta, which deeply resonated with his own spiritual insights. This encounter helped shape the foundation of his ministry.

In 2017, he founded the Your Faith Anew! prayer and study group to help Catholics rediscover and fall in love with their Faith. At the heart of his message is this conviction:

“The Catholic Faith prepares us to receive the Gift of Living in the Divine Will—and this Gift enables us to live our Faith in a divine manner most pleasing to God.”

Luisa writes,

Continuing in my usual state, I was thinking about how much my sweet Jesus did and suffered to save souls; and He, on coming, told me: “My daughter, all that my Humanity did - prayers, words, works, steps and pains - is in act of giving itself to man. But who takes it? Who receives the grafting of my works? One who draws near Me, and prays uniting herself with Me, receives the grafting of my prayer and the goods it contains. One who speaks, who teaches, united with Me, receives the grafting and the fruits of my words; and in the same way, one who works, who suffers, united with Me, receives the grafting and the goods which are contained in my pains and works. Otherwise, all the goods which I acquired for the creature remain suspended; and not being grafted with Me, she cannot enjoy the use of the goods that my Humanity wants to give with so much love. If there is no union, the goods of one remain as though dead for the other.

Imagine a wheel: the center of the wheel is my Humanity; the rays, all that It did and suffered; the circumference on which the rays are fixed is the whole human family which rotates around the wheel. Now, if this circumference, this second circle of the wheel, does not draw near to receive the connection with the rays, the rays remain suspended and cannot communicate the goods which the center of the wheel contains. Oh, how much I suffer in seeing so many goods of mine suspended, which human ingratitude not only does not receive, but despises and tramples! This is why with great eagerness I go in search for souls who want to live in my Will: to be able to fix in them the rays of my wheel. My Will will give them grace, so as to be able to form the circumference of the second circle of the wheel, and they will receive all my goods which others reject and despise.”

Welcome, this is David Russell and Your Faith Anew, Daily Reflections guiding you to live in the divine will. Today's reflection is from the Book of Heaven by the servant of God Louisa Picaretta, august twenty ninth, nineteen twenty two, volume fourteen. Let us begin in the will and name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Lord Jesus, draw us close to your sacred heart. Free us from the illusion that we must accomplish great things before our lives can please you. Teach us instead to give you this moment, this work, this prayer, this suffering, and this love. Take what is small in us and unite it to what is perfect in you. May everything we do today become an offering to the Father through you, with you and in you. Amen. A reading from the first letter of Saint Peter, chapter two verses four and five. Come to him, a living stone, rejected by human beings, but chosen and precious in the sight of God, and like living stones, let yourselves be built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches in paragraph sixteen ninety four incorporated into Christ by baptism. Christians are dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus, and so participate in the life of the risen Lord. Following Christ and united with him, Christians can strive to be imitators of God as beloved children and walk in love, by conforming their thoughts, words, and actions to the mind which is yours in Christ Jesus and by following His example. There is a beautiful invitation waiting for us today to discover what becomes possible when an ordinary human life is surrendered completely to Jesus Louisa writes. There's a quiet temptation in the spiritual life to measure the value of our day by what we accomplish. We remember the prayers we finished, the people we helped, the sacrifices we made, the duties we completed. And without realizing it, our attention can slowly move from Jesus to ourselves. But Christianity begins somewhere deeper. Saint Peter tells us that we are being built into a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. Those final words change everything through Jesus Christ. The Christian life is not simply a life lived for Christ. It is a life lived in communion with Christ. This is beautifully expressed in the church's teaching about the common priesthood of the baptized. The catechism reminds us that our daily activities, prayers, family life, work, difficulties, and even our recreation can become spiritual offerings when they are lived in the Spirit and joined to Christ. Think about what that means for your day. You may never stand before thousands of people and preach the gospel. You may never establish a religious community, write a theological work, or become known for extraordinary acts of holiness. Your day may consist of making breakfast, driving to work, answering a call, caring for someone you love, paying bills, enduring an inconvenience, or quietly carrying a sorrow nobody else sees. None of these things appears extraordinary. But Jesus is not asking you to manufacture holiness out of ordinary life. He is asking you to let him enter it. There's an enormous difference. Living in the divine will begins to free us from spiritual self-reliance. Instead of saying, Jesus, look what I'm doing for you, the heart begins to say, Jesus, I belong to you. Come into this moment. Let my life be united to yours. Then even weakness can become an occasion of surrender. Even interruption can become an offering. Even hidden suffering can become love. At Mass, we witness the perfect offering of Christ made sacramentally present upon the altar. And when the priest invites us to pray that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God, we are reminded that we have something to place there too. Ourselves. Perhaps that is enough for today. Not something impressive, just yourself placed lovingly into the hands of Jesus. Let us pray. Jesus, I give you myself as I am today. Not the person I wish I were, not the holiness I hope someday to possess. Not some future version of myself who prays better, loves better, and serves you more faithfully. I give you this moment. Receive my thoughts, my words, my work, my relationships, my joys, my fatigue, and the things I carry silently within my heart. Holy Spirit, awaken within me the grace of my baptism. Teach me to live every ordinary moment as an offering of love. Jesus, unite me so deeply to you that I no longer measure my life by what I accomplish, but by how completely I allow you to possess my heart. May your divine will reign within me, and through you, with you, and in you, may my whole life become praise of the Father. Amen. Thank you for joining your faith anew today. Until tomorrow, stay in his will, and your faith will be made anew.
