Your Faith Anew! exists to help souls grow in their knowledge of the Catholic Faith, strive to remain in a state of grace, and encounter the transforming joy of the Gospel. Its mission is simple yet eternal: to save souls, glorify God, and become saints.

Hosted by David Russell, this daily reflection podcast draws deeply from Sacred Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and the writings of the Servant of God, Luisa Piccarreta—especially The Book of Heaven—guiding listeners into a deeper understanding of living in the Divine Will.

David is the author of four spiritually rich works: Magi Theology: The Essence of Illusion, The Little Magician – Discovers Bigger and Better, Our Pilgrimage with the Pilgrim Virgin, and his newest release, Our Mother in the Divine Will. With a lifelong fascination for the mystical, David discovered a profound connection between the art of illusion and deeper spiritual realities—an insight that inspired both his theological and children’s writings. His work Magi Theology received both the Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur from the Diocese of Knoxville.

In 2010, David was introduced to the writings of Luisa Piccarreta, which deeply resonated with his own spiritual insights. This encounter helped shape the foundation of his ministry.

In 2017, he founded the Your Faith Anew! prayer and study group to help Catholics rediscover and fall in love with their Faith. At the heart of his message is this conviction:

“The Catholic Faith prepares us to receive the Gift of Living in the Divine Will—and this Gift enables us to live our Faith in a divine manner most pleasing to God.”

October 2, 1900 – Volume 4

Luisa writes,

Fearing that my state was no longer Will of God, as blessed Jesus came, I said: ‘How I fear that my state is no longer your Will; because I see that I lack the two main things that kept me bound: suffering and your presence.’

And He: “My daughter, it is not that I no longer want to keep you in this state, but since I want to chastise the world, this is why I am not coming and I make you lack suffering.” And I: ‘Why remain in this state then?’ And He: “Your position of victim and your continuous waiting for Me already break my arms. In fact, you do not see Me, but I see you very well, and I count all your sighs, your pains, your desires for Me; and your being all intent on Me is always an act of reparation for many who do not bother about Me, nor desire Me, but despise Me and are all intent on earthly things – covered with mud, amid the stench of vices. So, being the complete opposite of theirs, your state always comes to break Justice; so much so, that keeping you in this state and beginning the bloody wars in Italy is almost impossible for me.” And I: ‘Ah, Lord, to remain in this state without suffering is almost impossible for me; I feel my strengths fail me, because the strength to remain in this state comes to me from the sufferings. So, since these are lacking, some day, when You are not coming, I will try to go out. I am telling You this before, so You won’t be displeased.’ And He: “Ah, yes, yes, you will go out of this state when I begin the slaughter in Italy; then I will suspend it completely.”

While saying this, He showed the fiercest wars which are to happen, both among the secular and against the Church. The blood inundated the towns like when there is a pouring rain. My poor heart writhed for the pain in seeing this, and remembering about my own town, I said: ‘Ah, Lord, in saying that You will suspend me completely, You make me understand that not even for poor Corato will You have compassion - not even Corato will You spare? And He: “If sins reach a certain number, such that they will not deserve to have victim souls, and those who keep you as victim do not interest themselves, I will have no regard for her – that is, for Corato.” Having said this, He disappeared, and I remained all oppressed and afflicted.

Welcome, this is David Russell and your faith anew, daily reflections guiding you to live in the divine will. Today's reflection is from the Book of Heaven by the servant of God Louisa Picaretta, october second, nineteen hundred, volume four. Let us begin in the will and name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Jesus, draw our hearts beyond what we can see and feel. When prayer seems quiet and your presence hidden, keep us near you. Purify our love so that we seek you for yourself alone. Teach us to remain faithful in your divine will, trusting that no act of love offered to you is ever lost. Amen. A reading from the first letter of Peter chapter one verses six to nine. In this you rejoice. Although now for a little while you may have to suffer through various trials, so that the genuineness of your faith, more precious than gold that is perishable, even though tested by fire, may prove to be for praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Although you have not seen him, you love him, even though you do not see him now, yet believe in him. You rejoice with an indescribable and glorious joy as you attain the goal of your faith the salvation of your souls. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches in Paragraph one sixty four. Now, however, we walk by faith, not by sight. We perceive God as in a mirror dimly, and only in part, even though enlightened by him in whom it believes, faith is often lived in darkness and can be put to the test. The world we live in often seems very far from the one promised us by faith. Our experiences of evil and suffering, injustice and death seem to contradict the good news. They can shake our faith and become a temptation against it. There are moments when God allows faith to travel without the consolations that once made the road seem easier. And today's reading invites us into that mysterious place. When we sense the Lord near us, faithfulness can seem easy. But the spiritual life eventually asks something deeper. Will I remain with Jesus when I cannot feel what he is doing? Saint Peter speaks of loving Jesus even without seeing him. That is mature faith. We sometimes measure our spiritual life by experience. Was my prayer peaceful? Did I feel close to God? Did I receive an answer? Yet God may be accomplishing something far deeper than our feelings can detect. This is especially important in living in the divine will. Living in God's will cannot depend upon continually sensing his presence. It is an act of trust. We give Jesus our yes because we belong to him. We place our prayers, sacrifices, work, and ordinary actions into His hands, desiring that His will reign in us whether the day feels spiritually rich or completely ordinary. Perhaps this is where love becomes especially pure. We stop asking God to prove that He is near and begin resting in the truth that He is faithful. So when God seems silent, we need not conclude that nothing is happening. The invitation may simply be to remain, to remain in faith, to remain in love, to remain in His will and quietly say Jesus, whether I feel your presence or not, I am still yours. Let us pray. Jesus, I love you. When I see clearly, let me walk with you. When I do not see, let me walk with you still. Free me from needing spiritual consolation before I give you my yes. Place within me a faith that rests not upon feelings, but upon you. In your divine will, I offer you the hidden moments of my life, the prayers no one hears, the sacrifices no one notices, the waiting that seems to accomplish nothing. Receive them all, and when you seem silent, remind my heart that you have not ceased to love, to act, and to be present. Jesus, my deepest consolation be simply this I belong to you. Amen. Thank you for joining your faith anew today. Until tomorrow, stay in his will, and your faith will be made anew.
