Your Faith Anew! exists to help souls grow in their knowledge of the Catholic Faith, strive to remain in a state of grace, and encounter the transforming joy of the Gospel. Its mission is simple yet eternal: to save souls, glorify God, and become saints.
Hosted by David Russell, this daily reflection podcast draws deeply from Sacred Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and the writings of the Servant of God, Luisa Piccarreta—especially The Book of Heaven—guiding listeners into a deeper understanding of living in the Divine Will.
David is the author of four spiritually rich works: Magi Theology: The Essence of Illusion, The Little Magician – Discovers Bigger and Better, Our Pilgrimage with the Pilgrim Virgin, and his newest release, Our Mother in the Divine Will. With a lifelong fascination for the mystical, David discovered a profound connection between the art of illusion and deeper spiritual realities—an insight that inspired both his theological and children’s writings. His work Magi Theology received both the Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur from the Diocese of Knoxville.
In 2010, David was introduced to the writings of Luisa Piccarreta, which deeply resonated with his own spiritual insights. This encounter helped shape the foundation of his ministry.
In 2017, he founded the Your Faith Anew! prayer and study group to help Catholics rediscover and fall in love with their Faith. At the heart of his message is this conviction:
“The Catholic Faith prepares us to receive the Gift of Living in the Divine Will—and this Gift enables us to live our Faith in a divine manner most pleasing to God.”
Join us daily as we seek not only to understand our Faith—but to live it fully, joyfully, and in union with the Divine Will.

After various days of privation and of silence, this morning, as He came, He continued to be silent, and even though I kept Him almost always with me, as much as I tried, I could not manage to have Him speak a single word. He seemed to have something in His interior that embittered Him, so much so, as to render Him taciturn; something which He did not want me to know. Now, while Jesus was with me, I seemed to see the Queen Mama; and upon seeing Jesus with me, She told me: “It is you who keeps Him? Thank goodness He is with you, for if He has to pour out His just fury, if He is with you, you hold Him back. My daughter, pray that He would hold back the scourges, for the evil ones are all ready to come out, but they see themselves bound by a supreme power that prevents them; and even if Divine Justice will permit it, since they would not be able to do it when they please to, there will be this good: they will recognize the Divine authority over them, and will say: ‘We did this because we were given the power from above.’ My daughter, what a war is being nourished in the moral world – it is horrifying to see it! Yet, the first nourishment that should be sought in society, in families and by each soul, should be that of peace. All other nourishments become unhealthy without it – be they even virtues themselves, charity, repentance; without peace, they bring neither health nor true sanctity. Yet, this nourishment so necessary and salutary has been discarded by today’s world, and they want nothing but turbulence and wars. My daughter, pray, pray.”

Welcome. This is David Russell and your faith anew Daily Reflections guiding you to live in the divine will. Today's reflection is from the Book of Heaven by the servant of God Louisa Picaretta, october eleventh, nineteen oh one, volume four. Let us begin in the will and name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Jesus, I have brought more than words to this moment with you. I have brought the conversations still running through my mind, the concerns I cannot settle, and the weariness I sometimes hide from others. You know what needs your healing before I can name it. Help me receive your love without feeling that I must first make myself worthy of it. Let me be here as I am, willing to be changed by your grace. Give me the freedom to listen without defending myself, and the courage to welcome whatever you wish to awaken in my heart today.

A reading from the letter of Saint Paul to Titus chapter three verses one through seven. Remind them to be under the control of magistrates and authorities, to be obedient, to be open to every good enterprise. They are to slander no one, to be peaceable, considerate, exercising all graciousness toward everyone, for we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, deluded, slaves to various desires and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful ourselves and hating one another. But when the kindness and generous love of God our Savior appeared, not because of any righteous deeds we had done, but because of his mercy, He saved us through the bath of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom He richly poured out on us through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that we might be justified by His grace and become heirs in hope of eternal life. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches in paragraph eighteen twenty nine. The fruits of charity are joy, peace and mercy. Charity demands beneficence and fraternal correction. It is benevolence. It fosters reciprocity and remains disinterested and generous. It is friendship and communion. Love is itself the fulfillment of all our works. There is the goal. That is why we run. We run toward it, and once we reach it in it we shall find rest. Let us listen with hearts willing to receive an unexpected invitation from God. Louisa writes After various days of privation and of silence this morning, as he came, he continued to be silent, and even though I kept him almost always with me, as much as I tried, I could not manage to have him speak a single word. He seemed to have something in his interior that embittered him, so much so as to render him taciturn, something which he did not want me to know. Now, while Jesus was with me, I seemed to see the Queen Mamma, and upon seeing Jesus with me, she told me it is you who keeps him? Thank goodness he is with you, for if he has to pour out his just fury, if he is with you, you hold him back. My daughter, pray that he would hold back the scourges, for the evil ones are already to come out, but they see themselves bound by a supreme power that prevents them. And even if divine justice will permit it, since they would not be able to do it when they please to, there will be this good. They will recognize the divine authority over them and will say we did this because we were given the power from above. My daughter, what a war is being nourished in the moral world. It is horrifying to see it. Yet the first nourishment that should be sought in society, in families, and by each soul should be that of peace. All other nourishments become unhealthy without it, be they even virtues themselves charity, repentance. Without peace, they bring neither health nor true sanctity. Yet this nourishment so necessary and salutary has been discarded by today's world, and they want nothing but turbulence and wars. My daughter, pray pray. You may be having a perfectly ordinary morning. Then that person comes to mind, and suddenly you are rehearsing a conversation, preparing your defense, or remembering what should never have been said. Before you have spoken a word to anyone, an argument has begun inside you. Saint Paul understands something about this. When he urges Titus to teach gentleness toward others, he does not begin by dividing humanity into the decent people and the troublesome ones. He asks Christians to remember their own need for rescue. We too have needed mercy. That remembrance can interrupt a great deal of bitterness. It doesn't mean that what happened was acceptable. It does not require you to surrender a necessary boundary or pretend that trust has been restored. Christian charity can speak firmly. Sometimes love must refuse, correct, or seek protection. But charity will not let another person's wrongdoing become permission for our own contempt. This is where our relationship with Jesus becomes very personal. We may gladly offer him our work, our prayers, and our good intentions while holding one relationship apart. Lord, you may have everything, but please don't ask me to love this person. And Jesus, who knows the wound completely, doesn't ask us to manufacture affection. He invites us to let him act where our own strength has reached its limit. Consider what happens in confession. We bring him something we cannot undo. We cannot return to yesterday and become the person we should have been, yet through the sacrament Christ truly forgives us and gives us grace to begin again. The person we resent also needs that possibility. Perhaps we can't imagine what their conversion would look like. Perhaps we've stopped wanting to imagine it. We would rather receive an apology than pray for their salvation. An apology may indeed be owed, but their salvation matters even before it comes. Living in the divine will reaches into this hidden place. We ask Jesus to shape what we desire for another soul. We consent to their good even while our feelings remain unsettled. A first prayer may be very small. Jesus, I cannot yet think of this person without pain. Please help them receive the grace they need. There need be nothing impressive about that prayer. Its sincerity matters more than its beauty. And if resentment returns an hour later, the earlier prayer was not a failure. We can turn to Christ again. Grace teaches us to love through repeated, sometimes costly acts of consent. Today, you need not solve the entire relationship. You can simply refuse to close another person's future inside their worst moment. When their name comes to mind, place it beside your own before Jesus.

Two people in need of a savior and a savior whose mercy has room for both. Let us pray.

Jesus there is a name I hesitate to bring before you. You know it already. You know the history, the misunderstanding the words that linger, and the things I have never been able to explain. I don't have to convince you that it hurt. Let me rest for a moment in being understood by you. I adore you as my Savior, the one who has remained faithful through all my unfinished beginnings. Thank you for the forgiveness I've received, including the mercy I scarcely noticed at the time. Now I ask you to help the person I find difficult to love. Draw them toward truth. Free them from whatever keeps them far from you. Place people in their life who will help them welcome your grace. Give me wisdom about what to say, when to remain quiet, and what boundaries to keep. Where reconciliation is possible, prepare us for it honestly and patiently. I entrust to you what I cannot repair today. In your divine will, receive this small willingness to love. Unite it to your perfect love for every person whose life touches mine. And when I am tempted to take back this offering, remind me that I can turn toward you once more. Jesus, let your grace accomplish in us what neither of us can accomplish alone.
