Your Faith Anew! exists to help souls grow in their knowledge of the Catholic Faith, strive to remain in a state of grace, and encounter the transforming joy of the Gospel. Its mission is simple yet eternal: to save souls, glorify God, and become saints.
Hosted by David Russell, this daily reflection podcast draws deeply from Sacred Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and the writings of the Servant of God, Luisa Piccarreta—especially The Book of Heaven—guiding listeners into a deeper understanding of living in the Divine Will.
David is the author of four spiritually rich works: Magi Theology: The Essence of Illusion, The Little Magician – Discovers Bigger and Better, Our Pilgrimage with the Pilgrim Virgin, and his newest release, Our Mother in the Divine Will. With a lifelong fascination for the mystical, David discovered a profound connection between the art of illusion and deeper spiritual realities—an insight that inspired both his theological and children’s writings. His work Magi Theology received both the Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur from the Diocese of Knoxville.
In 2010, David was introduced to the writings of Luisa Piccarreta, which deeply resonated with his own spiritual insights. This encounter helped shape the foundation of his ministry.
In 2017, he founded the Your Faith Anew! prayer and study group to help Catholics rediscover and fall in love with their Faith. At the heart of his message is this conviction:
“The Catholic Faith prepares us to receive the Gift of Living in the Divine Will—and this Gift enables us to live our Faith in a divine manner most pleasing to God.”
Join us daily as we seek not only to understand our Faith—but to live it fully, joyfully, and in union with the Divine Will.

As my adorable Jesus continued to come, I seemed to see Him in such great suffering as to arouse compassion. Throwing Himself into my arms, He said to me: “My daughter, break the fury of my Justice, otherwise….” At that moment, I seemed to see divine Justice, armed with swords, with darts of fire, such as to strike terror; and also the fortitude with which She can act. All frightened, I said: ‘How can I break your fury if I see You so strong as to be able to annihilate heaven and earth in one simple instant?’ And He: “Yet, a suffering soul and a most humble prayer make Me lose all my strength, and render Me so weak as to let Myself be bound by that soul as she pleases.” And I: ‘Ah, Lord, in what an ugly appearance is Justice showing Herself!’ And Jesus added: “She is not ugly; if you see Her armed like this, it is because of men, but in Herself She is good and holy, like my other attributes, because there can not be even a shadow of evil in Me. It is true that Her appearance seems harsh, piercing, bitter, but Her fruits are sweet and delicious.” Having said this, He disappeared.

Welcome. This is David Russell and Your Faith Anew, Daily Reflections Guiding You to Live in the Divine Will. Today's reflection is from the Book of Heaven by the servant of God Louisa Picaretta, october seventeenth, nineteen hundred, volume four. Let us begin in the will and name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Heavenly Father, draw us into the mystery of your goodness. Free our hearts from everything that prevents us from trusting you. Teach us to love what you love, to seek what pleases you, and to recognize your presence even in the things we do not understand. May your Holy Spirit prepare a quiet place within us where your Son may be welcomed with tenderness and faith. Amen. A reading from the Book of Wisdom, chapter eleven, verses twenty three six. But you have mercy on all, because you can do all things, and you overlook sins for the sake of repentance. For you love all things that are, and loath nothing that you have made, for you would not fashion what you hate. How could a thing remain unless you willed it, or be preserved had it not been called forth by you? But you spare all things because they are yours, O ruler and lover of souls, for your imperishable spirit is in all things. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches in paragraph two one one The divine name I am, or he is, expresses God's faithfulness. Despite the faithlessness of men's sin and the punishment it deserves, He keeps steadfast love for thousands. By going so far as to give up his own Son for us, God reveals that He is rich in mercy. By giving His life to free us from sin, Jesus reveals that He Himself bears the divine name. When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will realize that I am. As we listen to Louisa's words today, may we receive whatever light the Lord desires to give our hearts. Louisa writes As my adorable Jesus continue to come, I seem to see him in such great suffering as to arouse compassion. Throwing himself into my arms, he said to me, My daughter, break the fury of my justice, otherwise at that moment I seem to see divine justice, armed with swords, with darts of fire, such as to strike terror, and also the fortitude with which she can act. All frightened I said, How can I break your fury if I see you so strong as to be able to annihilate heaven and earth in one simple instant? And he a suffering soul and a most humble prayer make me lose all my strength, and render me so weak as to let myself be bound by that soul as she pleases. And I Ah, Lord, and what an ugly appearance is justice showing herself. And Jesus added, She is not ugly. If you see her armed like this, it is because of men, but in herself she is good and holy, like my other attributes, because there cannot be even a shadow of evil in me. It is true that her appearance seems harsh, piercing, bitter, but her fruits are sweet and delicious. Having said this, he disappeared. There is something extraordinary about the way Jesus treats sinners. Consider the woman brought before him after being caught in adultery. Her accusers were ready to condemn her. The law was being invoked, her guilt was exposed, and she had no defense to offer. Jesus did not pretend that her sin was unimportant, neither did he allow her accusers to turn her humiliation into a spectacle. Instead, he brought everyone present into an encounter with the truth. And when the crowd had departed, he offered the woman something she could never have demanded the opportunity to begin again. That encounter reveals something essential about the heart of God. God's mercy is not an exception to justice. Both belong perfectly to His holiness. We sometimes imagine justice and mercy as competing demands, as though God must choose between being righteous and being loving. But there is no division within God. His justice takes evil seriously because his love takes every human person seriously. And his mercy seeks our conversion because he desires our eternal happiness. The Book of Wisdom offers a remarkable insight into this mystery. It presents the Creator as one who loves everything he has made and desires that his creatures continue in existence. Think about what that means for you. Your life is not sustained by an indifferent power. You exist because God wills your existence, and his love has not withdrawn from you. Even when you have sinned, even when you have resisted his grace, he continues to invite you into communion with him. This is why repentance is such a beautiful gift. When we repent, we are not persuading God to become loving, we are responding to the love that has already sought us. And here we discover a deeper meaning of prayer. Prayer is not an attempt to change God's character or overcome his reluctance, it is the opening of the human heart to his grace. In the divine will, we desire something greater still, that our love, our intercession, and our daily sacrifices may be united to the perfect offering of Jesus Christ. We bring before the Father those who have forgotten him, those who suffer, and those who cannot yet find the courage to return. We do not stand apart from them as judges, we stand beside them as fellow sinners in need of mercy. And we ask Jesus to make our small acts of love fruitful through his own. Perhaps the most beautiful thing we can offer God today is a heart that refuses to give up on another soul, a heart willing to forgive, a heart willing to pray, a heart that trusts the saving love of Jesus more than the apparent hopelessness of any human situation. At Calvary, divine love revealed how far it was willing to go for our salvation. And the risen Christ continues to invite us into that same love.

You know the wounds of every human heart, including those hidden within my own. I thank you for never ceasing to call me toward holiness. Today, I place before you those who have wandered far from your love, those who have lost hope, those who carry guilt and cannot imagine being forgiven. In your divine will, I unite my prayer to your perfect intercession before the Father. May your love reach those whom I cannot reach. May your grace soften hearts that have become hardened. And where I have been impatient, judgmental, or unwilling to forgive, teach me to see others through your eyes. Jesus, I trust in your mercy. I surrender my judgments, my fears, and my desire to control what belongs to you alone. Let your holy will reign in me, so that my life may become an offering of love for the salvation of all souls. Amen. Thank you for joining your faith anew today. Until tomorrow, stay in his will, and your faith will be made anew.
