Your Faith Anew! exists to help souls grow in their knowledge of the Catholic Faith, strive to remain in a state of grace, and encounter the transforming joy of the Gospel. Its mission is simple yet eternal: to save souls, glorify God, and become saints.

Hosted by David Russell, this daily reflection podcast draws deeply from Sacred Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and the writings of the Servant of God, Luisa Piccarreta—especially The Book of Heaven—guiding listeners into a deeper understanding of living in the Divine Will.

David is the author of four spiritually rich works: Magi Theology: The Essence of Illusion, The Little Magician – Discovers Bigger and Better, Our Pilgrimage with the Pilgrim Virgin, and his newest release, Our Mother in the Divine Will. With a lifelong fascination for the mystical, David discovered a profound connection between the art of illusion and deeper spiritual realities—an insight that inspired both his theological and children’s writings. His work Magi Theology received both the Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur from the Diocese of Knoxville.

In 2010, David was introduced to the writings of Luisa Piccarreta, which deeply resonated with his own spiritual insights. This encounter helped shape the foundation of his ministry.

In 2017, he founded the Your Faith Anew! prayer and study group to help Catholics rediscover and fall in love with their Faith. At the heart of his message is this conviction:

“The Catholic Faith prepares us to receive the Gift of Living in the Divine Will—and this Gift enables us to live our Faith in a divine manner most pleasing to God.”

Luisa writes,

My most sweet Jesus continues to manifest Himself almost always in the same way. This morning He added: “My daughter, my love toward creatures is so great that it resounds like an echo in the celestial regions, it fills the atmosphere and diffuses over the whole earth. But what is the correspondence that creatures give to this loving echo? Ah, they requite Me with an echo of ingratitude, poisonous, filled with every kind of bitternesses and sins; with an echo almost deadly, fit only for wounding Me. But I will depopulate the face of the earth, so that this echo resounding with poison may not deafen my ears.”

And I: ‘Ah, Lord, what are You saying?’ And Jesus: “I act just like a pitying doctor, who has the extreme remedies for his children, and these children are full of wounds. What does this father and doctor do, who loves his children more than his very life? Will he let these wounds become gangrenous? Will he let them die for fear that by applying fire and knife they may suffer? No – never! Even though he will feel as if those instruments were applied to himself, in spite of this, he grabs the knife, he rips and cuts the flesh, and he applies to it the poison, the fire, to prevent corruption from advancing further. Even though many times it happens that in these operations the poor children die, this was not the will of the father doctor – his will was to see them healed. So I am. I wound in order to heal them, I destroy them in order to resurrect them. If many perish, this is not my Will, it is only the effect of their wickedness and obstinate will - it is the effect of this poisonous echo which they want to keep sending Me to the point of seeing themselves destroyed.”

And I: ‘Tell me, my only Good, how could I sweeten this poisonous echo for You which afflicts You so much?’ And He: “The only means is that you always do all your actions with the sole purpose of pleasing Me, and that you employ all your senses and powers for the purpose of loving Me and of glorifying Me. Let your every thought, word, and everything else, want nothing but the love you have for Me; in this way your echo will rise pleasant to my throne and will sweeten my hearing.”

Welcome. This is David Russell and Your Faith Anew, Daily Reflections Guiding You To Live in the Divine Will. Today's reflection is from the Book of Heaven by the servant of God Louisa Picaretta, october twenty fifth, eighteen ninety nine, volume two. Let us begin in the will and name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Heavenly Father, draw us into the quiet of your presence. Free us from whatever keeps our hearts divided, and grant us the grace to recognize your goodness even when we don't understand your ways. Through Jesus Christ, teach us to trust you with the whole of our lives. Amen. A reading from the letter of Saint Paul to the Colossians, chapter three, verse seventeen. And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches in paragraph twenty ninety five. The theological virtues of faith, hope, and charity inform and give life to the moral virtues. Thus, charity leads us to render to God what we as creatures owe him in all justice. The virtue of religion disposes us to have this attitude. As we turn to today's reading, may the Holy Spirit give us the humility to listen and the courage to respond. There is something amazing about the Christian vocation that can easily be overlooked. God has made it possible for an ordinary human life to become an offering of worship. Not merely the moments spent in church, not only the rosary, the holy mass, or the time reserved for prayer. Even the responsibilities that seem to have little spiritual significance can become occasions of communion with him. Saint Paul understood this. His instruction to the Colossians reaches beyond particular religious practices into the whole of Christian existence. Belonging to Christ changes not simply what we do, but the reason we do it. Consider how much of our day passes almost without our noticing. We prepare meals, answer questions, fulfill obligations, and attend to countless small necessities. We may perform these duties faithfully, yet seldom consider that each moment can be freely entrusted to God. The Church has always taught that holiness is not reserved for extraordinary circumstances. The saints became holy through grace, often amid responsibilities familiar to our own. Saint Therese of Les discovered a profound spiritual freedom in performing small duties with great love. Her hidden life reminds us that the worth of an action before God cannot be measured by its importance in the eyes of the world. And yet there is something even more fundamental here. Before we can offer anything worthy to God, we must recognize what He has already given us. Jesus Christ offered Himself completely to the Father for our salvation. Through baptism, we have been united to His death and resurrection. Our Christian worship, therefore, begins not with our accomplishments, but with our participation in His life. This changes the meaning of surrender. We're not trying to persuade God to accept our efforts. We are allowing His grace to transform them. Living in the divine will invites us to deepen this surrender, seeking an ever more complete union with the intentions of Jesus. We don't cease to be human. We don't lose our freedom. Rather, our freedom finds its fulfillment in loving what God loves. Perhaps today there will be no extraordinary spiritual experience. Perhaps there will be only familiar duties, unexpected interruptions, and moments when patience is difficult. But Jesus will be present. And whenever we turn toward him with sincere love, something beautiful becomes possible. A life that once seemed divided between prayer and ordinary responsibilities begins to find its unity in Christ. Not because everything we do is remarkable, but because the one to whom we belong is infinitely worthy of our love. Let us pray. Lord Jesus, I adore you as the perfect offering of love to the Father. You have given yourself without reservation, and I desire to belong entirely to you. Receive my weaknesses, my unfinished efforts, and the desires I cannot yet express. When my heart wanders, gently draw me back. When I hesitate to surrender, strengthen my confidence in your goodness. May your divine will reign within me, so that my life may become a continual act of love in union with yours. And when I have nothing beautiful to offer, let me offer you my poverty, trusting that your grace is sufficient. Jesus, I am yours. Amen. Thank you for joining your faith anew today. Until tomorrow, stay in his will, and your faith will be made anew.
